The BATSUIT Thread

I'd like something akin to the suit used in the Telltale games:

Its a good hybrid of classic Batsuit combined with a bit of a more...mechanical/militaristic feel (for want of better wording) to make it seem a bit grounded in reality than spandex or rubber would be.

So yeah, I finally got to see JL last night and the undersuit people have referred to on here definately looked good to me, so much so that I was actually sitting there imagining it without the black panels and with a yellow oval.
Pretty much.

I'm sitting there the whole time thinking, "Wow, that looks pretty damn cool." It's more form-fitting while still appearing protective. Seems easier to move in as well.

Idk man... the Batsuit in JL looks protective and armory in still photos, but in motion it looked soft and foamy and honestly kind of cheap looking.

I wouldn't mind a return to the harder looking material found in TDKT, just with a more comic accurate color scheme.

Oh yeah, the Telltale Batman suit is pretty cool, im liking the cowl very much.
Could be a tiny bit longer on the ears but im liking it.

I mean all we really know is that Reeves wants to tell an emotional, POV-driven, noirish detective story. Those were his words.

:hmr:

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. If the guy walks the walk like he talks the talk, we might get something to genuinely challenge The Dark Knight.

I just hate how bulky the Snyder suit is. I don't mind the look of the material, and I like the smaller ears, but there's so much excess padding it's ridiculous. So what if taking it away makes him look smaller. When Affleck doesn't have the cowl on he looks ridiculous, like he's wearing his older brothers clothes.

And I wish there was some way to lose the rubber cowl and eye make-up. Isn't there some other way to accomplish it? Maybe a Captain America style helmet. Would seeing naked skin around his eyes be such a bad thing?

Yeah, I've never been all that keen on the fabric-y look of the Batsuits Affleck's worn. "Cheap" is a pretty on-point description imo.

a other suit for solo movies and a other more tech based for Justice League.
Maybe he could use a better suit in solo movie when the villians is stronger and has more powers?

-I always hoped for Batman getting more mutated and stronger foes this days better portraited then does in the past. That we would need to use more brain, technology and muscles.

-Maybe something like better armor every movie or spoilers for the next one with technology? like ironman in marvel?
- they could go the batman beyond way and do a better suit than that in Dawn of Justice:sbatman vs superman

@davefranciosaart on Instagram did some manips of the Justice League batsuit to basically fit in with a particular theme like Hush and TAS. I did some tweaking to two of the designs and merged them. It's practically my definitive Batsuit.

Reeves, give me this and I will pay to watch your movie in organs

That is VERY good, very close to what I'd want. I'd like the little geometric platelets either rounded off to look more natural or just plain removed, and I much prefer something like the BvS gloves, but otherwise that's a great look. I'd also prefer a slimmer neck/cowl too but that's trivial.

Agreed to be fair with the removal of the platelets and BvS style gauntlets, but to me both are pretty negligible. I'd rather have the plates removed and more BvS style gauntlets, but I can live with the plates/JL gauntlets personally.

hahahahaha! Affleck looks hilarious standing next to this!

I hope Reeves goes back to an all black suit doh. Batman shouldn't be colorful.

No to an all black suit, in my opinion. I definitely am more a fan of Batman's suit having a black cowl and cape than blue, but the grey suit is just iconic. Not only that, but it does have a legitimate function. The main purpose of the bat symbol tactically is to put a target where the most heavily armoured area of the suit is. If the suit is completely black, you can't see the symbol and as a result, you're more likely to be shot in a less armoured area. While the oval could be seen as having this function, it's too small a target in my opinion. Not everyone has the accuracy of Deadshot; while they may aim in that vague direction, that doesn't mean they'll hit it. This is why I personally love the fat TDKR style bat symbol.

While a grey body suit is less "stealthy", it's not by a lot. Put someone in that suit, put them in complete darkness and seeing them's gonna be hard.

I'm against regressing back to an all black suit. Keep it black and grey, which I wouldn't define as colorful. I would like something lee bermejo inspired.

Black and grey is hardly colorful :whatever:

And his suit has been those colors since his creation.

hahaha! It looks like cosplay. It's just not cool. I don't care what function it serves.
I'd rather the yellow emblem if you really need a target but the rest of the suit should look bad ass instead of silly.

Maybe it's the design but it looks friggen ridiculous and totally laughable from a fashion sense. The All Black has always been one thing that the movies improved from the appearance of the character in the comics. Nooobody can tell me different.

Lol if you say so man.

I'm not sure how I feel about the long ears in live action. Medium length work for me personally.

I'm still diggin the short ears. But I'm fine with most lengths, as long as they're not ridiculously tall, like in Red Rain. The longest I would want, is around the same height as B89's.

More power to you, I guess.
