The BATSUIT Thread

I do want to see the JL Mortal batsuit in full and up close, just to sate my curiosity more than anything else.

I feel like Miller's JL would be dog****. Maybe only slightly better than Schumacher Batman level.
Heavily disagree

Would’ve been way better than Snyder’s JL for sure. The general premise was excellent and I had no issue with the casting.

Hopefully we'll see Snyder's JL soon on HBO Max. They launch the service in May apparently and it seems that they won't be airing that Friends reunion special to lure people in. Meanwhile, the Snyder Cut is almost 100% ready to go live and they need some big splash content.

The goal is to lure people in with content. And then to provide more content to keep them. Those are the primary goals. Competition only makes sense to look at afterwards.

I’m still sad Mortal never happened

At the time I thought it was garbage... like a product of it's time, but.... more it think about it, the more I wanted it more than bvs and JL.

Looking at Pattison, I feel like it will step away from the macho super hero vibe, nothing wrong with it, but I feel, like with Keaton, character, uniqueness is what will sell this. Pattison definitely can pull off and compete with a modern take on Keaton's Batman, if that makes sense.

I would want to go to the alternate universe where JL Mortal was made just to take a look at it. There’s a lot of iffy **** about what Miller was cooking up, but I’m sure the spectacle would’ve been off the charts.

Colorized version someone made on IGN

I’m more sad Superman aka Superman Lives from Tim Burton never happened.

Saw the teaser poster in theaters and was so amped.

Odd quirky casting that could’ve worked with Cage.

Walken as Brainic
Spacey as Lex
Doomsday
Courtney Cox or Sandra Bullock as Lois
Chris Rock as Jimmy Olsen

Sign me all the way up.

Unique take on the mythos. First ever crossover with Keaton Batman showing up in a Cage Superman film. The Burton Verse you could say.

Actually, according to Kevin Smith, it was George Clooney's Batman, and not Keaton.

Me too, I've wanted to see it (and all the other characters) for years. Especially since we've seen multiple concept art versions. But that cowl above is quite bland and unappealing to me. Nowhere near as good as the BvS one. I know some people prefer longer ears etc... but a better long eared cowl would be the BvS cowl with longer ears. The JL one looks like a worse version of the Dead End one.

i would love to have Miller direct an animated movie from it.

( Like i would love an animated superman lives, it could be glorious)

I don't give two nickles and a dime what nobody thinks. After seeing the doc about Superman Lives. I wish it would had got made as a standalone movie set in the Burton Batman universe. The movie would had been weird, surreal, silly and action packed with visual stunning moments! Holy crap if they would had made a crossover movie with Keaton's Batman and Cage's Supernan that led up to a Dark Knight Returns Burton style:hmr:

I hope we get something like that down the line! I would watch the heck out of both films as a double feature!:up::up::up::up::up::up::up:

I would have loved to see both Justice League Mortal and Superman Lives.

Those are definitely the two CB movies that never got made that I wish did. So many options to choose from yet those are my two picks.

It's funny what a few bad movies can do to our perception - not calling out you, specifically... but many people are now warming to past 'failed' attempts due to the current condition of things. I too, am one of those.

Though I do completely understand what you are saying. I feel that at the time these movies would have released, they may not have been considered "bad". The Dark Knight Series and Avengers/MCU level of standards did not exist at this time. Plus I still don't care what anyone says, Man of Steel is a Superb Superhero film and I love it dearly and hold it up just as high as those films I previously mentioned. Justice League Mortal actually sounded interesting to me, the cast didn't bother me and Superman Lives...…. Come on! A Tim Burton Superman film with Nick Cage! Sign me up but I'm a total Tim Burton fanboy anyway. I love most of his work.

I agree with you there on everything.

Every CBM has this rumor. "So and so will get an upgraded suit during the film." Folks gotta stop falling for it.
Maybe for the sequel. He needs to have a new suit for the sequel. It's basically a rule now

I’ve really tried to trick myself into liking it, but I don’t really like this movie’s Batsuit much at all. I don’t really like the Batmobile either if I’m being totally honest. It’s not going to prevent me from enjoying the movie, but it is not aesthetically pleasing to me.

I was prepared for a suit that wasn’t what I was expecting. Unexpected design choices don’t necessarily equal an ugly suit. But this suit is just ugly to me. I wanted to like it so bad.

Pattinson is gonna kill it though.
