I grew up with the oval. Yes, I'd love to see the next Batsuit have the yellow oval on it!

Pretty sure Kilmer was the transition as far as the yellow oval goes. He wore two suits in Batman Forever - the standard suit (with the yellow oval) and the sonar suit (which had no oval at all) for the climax. Clooney had an oval on one suit IIRC (not seen Batman & Robin for many years), but not a yellow one.

So they can transition back to it. A suit with Affleck's cowl but with longer ears(somewhere between Bale and Keaton length) and the yellow oval would work pretty well for me.

After watching Batman and Batman Returns on Netflix this weekend it reminds me just how much I actually miss the yellow oval. It has a really good look and we’ve been without it in movies, animation, and comics for way to long. I really feel like they should bring it back for a while. The Batman Inc suit really would be a good looks for the next movie, it straddles that line perfectly.

I’m actually not that picky when it comes to Batsuits. In the interest of fairness, I think we should keep the black (or blue) and gray color scheme, but I don’t have a lot of strong opinions one way or the other.

To be fair, the bigger Battfleck style logo could serve the same purpose. I always looked at it as such, especially since (correct me if I'm wrong) that idea was actually introduced in Dark Knight Returns where he also switches to a fat bat symbol.

In all honesty I wouldn't mind seeing an oval that's a different colour to yellow/orange. Bright white would serve the same function, but I dunno how well that'd work on the grey batsuit. I think yellow works aesthetically the best because it's usually colour coordinated with the utility belt. That could also work too actually, in all honesty. Having the oval be more of a bronze than yellow as seen by Battfleck's utility belt.

To be fair that DVD was basically a bastardisation of Grayson's run as Batman in the comics.

Man, I cannot beleive that someone looking at that thing made the conscious choice to add plating - it was way better as it was. Stick the oval logo and longer ears on that suit and its nigh-on perfect.

Yeah, I thoguht the shorter ears looked really good on Affleck, but that's because he's a big guy. If he get a shorter/slimmer actor to play Batman, the longer ears may be needed to even things out.

My perfect ear length would probably be the ear length on the Batman Inc skins in both City and Knight, personally. It works for both beefier and leaner, I'd say.
