This is a cool idea. I don't know if I'd rely on the visual the entire film a la the Iron Man films, but it'd be cool to give the audience a peek at the all the information Batman is absorbing at any given time.
As for the Batsuit itself, try to stick to the below as much as possible--with the exception of the trunks; those can be removed. Have the costume be as sleek and cloth-like as possible (write of this off in dialogue as a high-tech weave or some such), and have retractable eyes. Toy with the shade of gray if you wish, but keep the large pouches on the belt and, as for gadgets inside, go somewhat low-tech (nothing too drastically basic, but he shouldn't have gear that's too sci-fi tech). The cape slightly drapes off the shoulder, but is also removable. And as for now, I am partial to a practical cowl that is visually aided by CGI to allow the actor movement on set.
These manips posted in the fan art thread do a good job of rendering using Pattison using a similar model (minus the retractable white lenses):
