The BATSUIT Thread

I don't get this argument. How much of the action in comic book movies do think it's done my the star actors? Does Robert Downey Jr actually get into an Iron Man costume and fly around blasting aliens?

I don't know if you know this, but people love RDJ for his performances as Tony Stark, interacting with other marvel actors.

The first two Iron Man movies have mediocre action scenes. It wasn't until the Avengers did we see Iron Man go full Iron Man.

I really want to see the details of this cape. The size of the scallops, how it moves, whether it wraps around him. I like the texture from what we can see in the reveal video.

He groped women instead. But ppl keep their blinders on because he was Batman and had drinking problems. Not me. Plus he’s not a good actor unless he’s pushed really hard by a director. Snyder is never going to be that guy. Which is why we have such a mediocre performance from his Bruce Wayne.
I'm not an Affleck fanboy but c'mon now. Lmao. The hatred against the guy here is getting ridiculous.

That warehouse scene wasn't even that impressive to me. Don't know why people hold it up in such high regard. Its just batman murdering people left and right.
I’ve watched it recently and enjoyed some of it but most of the scene is ruined by Batman’s laziness and viciousness. Which doesn’t add up, when it’s following the Martha reveal. So logically he shouldn’t be going out of his way to murder criminals anymore.

Come on now what? He groped women and was called out on it with video proof. Not to mention his direct ties to Weinstein. What’s ridiculous is people brushing it over their shoulders like it’s no big deal and wanting ppl to forget it just cuz he has a new alcoholic sob story. He and his brother Casey are grade A bags of ****. But hey! He’s our fav Batman!! Yay!

I think it's kind of a shame Brandon Routh was cast as Superman because I think he could make a great BTAS Bruce Wayne.

I want to see a charming Bruce Wayne again.

The warehouse scene had too much of the fast edits that action movies of the time used (that they thankfully seem to have moved away from) for me to care too much about it. In theory it was the Arkham games brought to life, but for me it only illustrated that video games were doing action much better.

He doesn't have the intensity to handle Batman. Batman in the DCAU was waaay more complex than people usually think he was.

Bale to me, looked the part but he didn't to me, have this dark, crazy to him, which Keaton oozed. It's like Bale wanted to be batman to be good, to help people and just scare his villains. Keaton needed The Batman to release some anger and crazy and feel 'relevant' and a purpose.

All this proves is that Bale was more like the actual "Canon" Comic Book Batman than Keaton was.

Maybe he was on the shortlist. I’d kinda doubt it if they said he wasn’t.

Looking at this new suit I actually see a bit of the telltale season 2 suit even though arkham knight is what most people initially said. Especially with the chest piece and midsection of the suit. Mix that with baggier fit of bermejos suit, and r. grampa's with the strappy fins and stitching, with the collar from gotham by gaslight suit. And we have a decent approximation of the new suit.

But Downey actually gets credit for being a good actor, and still being good in those scenes where he’s in the costume. Most ppl that like Batfleck point to his fight scene in the warehouse or they like his suit or the voice modulator. None of which had anything to do with Ben.
Exactly

It's the primary selling point of the entire MCU. His acting, charm and personality.

I agree it was cut too fast and over too quickly with no pay off! Snyder knows the action/martial rules you can't do quick cuts, don't have the fight over before it begins and have a final fight. The warehouse fight had none of that, all we saw was Ben stunt-double do all the work and it was over with tons of people going WOW BEST COMIC FIGHT EVER! I'm glad Marvel,James Wan,David F. Sandberg and Matt Reeves knows how to direct action.Okay Patty did a good job with Wonder Woman she just have to cut back on the slow motion and show WW bleeding/bruise. That was one of the many problems of MOS. Superman is getting punch with no blood or injuries like the comics, I also hated the weightless fights one hit he goes through eight buildings, Aquaman and Shazam did it better!
