The BATSUIT Thread

Someone in the Batsuit thread posted a better quality version of that same shot. It’s the same suit we’ve already been seeing in all of the trailers.

M hm, just so we have actual evidence here

Same suit.

I’m curious about the presence of scallops in the cape. Can’t tell from that shot. The marketing illustrated image of him with batarang shows them off but I wonder if they’re actually there in the film.

I'm curious as to what the cape's utility is supposed to be with this suit, if he's apparently using a full-on wingsuit to glide. I'm not sure if the cape is meant to transform into the wingsuit or not, but it definitely does have a functional purpose beyond just the aesthetic. One thing I really admire about this suit is how pragmatic it appears, where practically every inch of real-estate on it is used, be it the grapple gun ammunition on the gauntlets (which I've come around to really liking) or the symbol itself which I'm still convinced is a detachable batarang-esque weapon.

I’m wondering if he uses the cape to fight at all. Maybe it has weighted tips.

It does look like the cape might have been used to break Batman's fall, Arkham style in this shot

They could also go with the argument of hiding his body in fights, which I've seen as a theory (maybe even comic canon) for why Batman uses the cape too. In motion, it'd help stop criminals from targeting Batman's actual body because his cape would obscure his figure

I'd imagine this has to be the case. I don't see how he could be carrying around a whole load more material for the wingsuit, along with the cape itself. There will probably be a moment when we'll see some fancy tech that attaches the cape to his legs and arms to create the wingsuit.

The suit in those early stunt pics doesn't look good, btw. But everything that came after is beautiful. I'm loving it, and can't wait to see it evoluting!.

The suit looked great, the cowl was kinda eh and that's because it was literally intended for a stunt man to be CG'd over. So I'd barely even count that

I know it was for stunt but it looked bad. All the official pics, otherwise, look amazing.

i remember how when the stunt pics came out and lot of people ragged on the suit and went on to compare how even the batfleck stunt suit looked superior in comparison.

but now lot of people are saying this is the best batsuit on film.

just goes to show people need to wait to see the final product before they pass judgement.

We also need to wait and see if those judgements hold firm in the wake of the hype eventually dying down.

i'm just talking about the suit here. and it looks great in the trailers so far.
