So I finished the series recently, it was definitely a worthwhile endeavor, but I was a bit disappointed in the end. Not really in the quality or anything, but in the same way I was disappointed in LOST. There's just so much left open and unanswered and I don't get it. Is it possible to have a show with supernatural mystery and actually explain the mysteries? Like, why introduce something you don't plan on explaining? But it's okay, it doesn't ruin the show or anything, it's just disappointing. Still a great series. And the finale was great. So exciting and action packed, and I loved the ending with All Along the Watchtower showing today's future Cylons.
Some things that still bug me:
- What was up with Starbuck's return? Was she actually there? Was it her or just a memory brought back through divine intervention?
- How was Kara leading them to their death? Why did the hybrids say that?
- Is our Earth the first one or the second one?
- Wouldn't they notice that Earth 2 has the same geographical layout as Earth 1? And why would that happen?
- Why was is that Lee would never see Adama again? Did he just leave and chill with Rosslin's grave for the rest of her life?
- This one I'm pretty sure I understand, but was Gaius and Caprica's visions "God" the whole time?
Regardless of the unknown, it was still a great story with great characters, and that's what it's all about, right?
