if this is the film that explains the antagonist position, then the F5 are gonna be in there. Clearly they were part of the plan, be it as a victim, or as a perpetrator. So they're gonna be in there. Moreover, we have to see how 'the plan' was initiated, how John took over. Why he wanted to punish both humanity and the F5. I just see the F5 as a very integral part of the whole cylon's plan is concerned.

Yeah, no ****, of course they're going to be there. I just doubt we'll get a whole lot of the final five before Cavil boxed and reprogramed them. Probably just a few scenes.

well of course, it's not like their gonna cover 40 years of time in one movie. But I'm pretty sure we'll see the important things.

This whole Bryan Singer bull**** is really p***ing me off. Is there a petition I can sign to boycott the movie?

I'd sign one, I'm just not keen on it, we've just had such an amazing tv BSG and I loved it so much and if he was to go ahead and make a film I think I would be like annoyed at all of it, I could accpet it lol like somone else play Adama or Starbuck I would sit there and be like this is crap tv show FTW lol

Wonder what RDMoore would say on this...its too soon for them to want to make a BSG film heck this show just finished, leave BSG alone its had a fantastic story told we don't need any more :P we had our happy ending :D

The only thing you need to do to boycott a movie is not watch it.

Seriously, the whole "I'm going to boycott everything I dont like" thing is starting to bug the crap out of me. So he's going a Battlestar Galactica movie. Get the **** over it. It's not going to eradicate BSG from existence for **** sake! Move on.

So I guess all but 5 people are going to see it then... that'll be a good boycott to me.
Or get enough people to see the new show to make them not even care about the movie could work.

1978 Fans: No! They can't remake Galactica! It'll ruin my childhood favorite sci-fi show!
New Fans: Oh, get over it! That miniseries was awesome, and this new show might be good.

2004 Fans: No! They can't remake Galactica! Again! It'll ruin the new reimagining!
Newer Fans: Oh, get over it! Bryan Singer is a good filmmaker, and this new one might be good.

But it was almost 20 years since the original. It hasn't even been a year and their already talking about remaking it, and the shows not even really done yet!
Tell me something you love and have invested a lot of time in, and then someone comes in and effes it up for you. How do you think that will make you feel?

I've been seriously invested in this TV show since it came on air, for someone to come in and mess it up seriously breaks my heart. It messes up Moore's vision for the series, and now makes it completely irrelevant.

Well, I'm a 2004 fan too... but I'm just being realistic here. Who cares if they do something new?! It's an entirely different continuity, most likely. It's not going to wipe BSG off the face of the earth.

That said, I'm not sure whatever Bryan does will be for me, so I'm going to wait until I get something concrete to judge and ridicule.

It'd piss me off. In fact, it's happened before. By Bryan Singer's hand. I just like to pretend Superman Returns never existed, otherwise I go off on an uncontrollable rant about illegitimate dads, homewreckers, terrible casting, and the director not deciding whether he should make a sequel, remake, or reboot-- all the while preferring to use the old movies as a reference without much regard for the printed source material.

God, I'm set off already...

I'm not saying I don't want Singer to direct, I would love him to.
The new series just needs to sink into peoples minds first.
I would be fine if they made this in ten years, I would actually be all for it, but not now. Hopefully it will be in development hell for a long time, and it will take ten years to make.

It actually does feel quite soon, but it still doesnt bother me all that much. I'm sure we wont see it for another 2-3 years, at least.

What an awesome nite last nite. First I get my 2.0 in the mail and Im on like ep4 I think. I watched it really really drunk last night. Might needa go back lol But what does one need more in life than BSG and beer?

I just think its too soon for another remake, the 70s verison I never liked mainly as I was born well after lol try watching it I think its rubbish lol its like a comdey, so I only like the 2004, I just think jeez it only finished this year give at least x amount of years before you think of starting it up again, thats why Im not keen on it.. and plus if they did I think I would be like tv show ftw, everytime I think of BSG I will always think of the 2004 serise and that cast.

I'm not exactly enthusiastic about the idea... but we also have to remember, the same argument was being made 6 years ago by the BSG purists, luckily, BSG2000 turned out to be fantastic.

so again, I'm not exactly excited by the idea of a return to the old stylization and narrative... but there is a part of me that is saying 'keep an open mind'. There is a very small chance that this movie could be actually good.

I have no doubt in my mind it's going to be good, I and a bunch of my friends who watch the show just don't want it right now.

I just finished the 2004 series and man that was just awesome, im going to buy the complete series on Blu-ray and watch it again. Fantastic.

Just finished 2.0 last nite. WOW loved seeing Michelle Forbes as Admiral Cain. I knew that voice as soon as Adama talked to her over the comms. Got 2.5 today in the mail wont get to watch it for a bit though.

I loved Admiral Cain, Michelle Forbes was awesome and scary as Cain but thats what made her character cool, did always love the Pegasus/Razor episodes loads always great tension and well wrote and the drama! lol

I thought the Cain/Pegasus episodes were great, but I actually didnt care much for Razor.

I instantly recognized that voice of hers to man. I was like "Ooh!! Its Maryanna from True Blood!!" Cant mistake her voice anywhere

^
True blood just started here, on the 6th episode I think, sweet didn't know shes in it..let me guess she isn't playing a good guy lol

I am not sure now that I think about it, whether or not im at peace with the ending they gave the series. AMAZING and better than most but still kinda just Meh at certain parts. I still have no clue about Starbuck but i guess its better that way. I just dont know how much i like it, maybe im just angry that the show is over. That could be a good reason.

Really the only problem I have with the way they ended BSG was Kara's storyline. Like... I'm sorry, what the **** was that?
