Infinity War The Black Widow Thread

What the heck is Widow carrying into battle in that final hero shot? An unlit lightsaber?:huh::huh:
It matches whatever's in her thigh holster in the Vanity Fair shoot, and it's not the same as her batons.

It could be a detonator.

Hmmm, interesting. Maybe it's some kind of super-advanced Wakanda tech.

Why the heck is she blonde????? First the Russos gave BW Sharon's comics role in TWS and CW, now they give BW blonde hair like Sharon? Bloody hell!

Natasha is blonde because she's been undercover/incognito since the end of CW. Sharon isn't the only blonde woman in the world. Get over it.

Not getting over it, out of all the hair colors blonde? They could've made her brunette which is a less conspicuous color! I swear the Russos probably decided on this, you can tell she's their fave. Man I wish Emily Blunt was Black Widow, at least she can actually run like a hero and actually portray BW.

She was contracted to do Gulliver's Travels. Lesson: Never be contracted to do Gulliver's Travels.

I really think you need to relax lol

I know which is why she had to drop BW. Emily's a great action actor unlike scarjo where it's soo obvious it's her stunt double and her physicality is nothing compared to Emily's.

How do heroes run, exactly? :lmao:

I'm sure Blunt would have been great and she was the first choice. But Scarlett was a much bigger actress at the time who still managed to somehow not have commitments. Blunt shouldn't have been saying yes to every dumb project that came her way.

:whatever:

Looks like a nod to Yelena Belova to me.

Oh, boy.
So you are definitely one of those crazy Sharon's fans which hate on Nat for her blonde hair. And I thought only thirteen-year-old girls on twitter practice that.

Emily didn't look much more convincing than Scar in her action scenes. When she took on Bucky it looked more like she was doing ballet moves than actual punches.

It's really not that big a deal...she's in hiding so truthfully any hair color change would do. I certainly don't think it's something to rant & rave over and to take jabs at Johansson over it. She's done just fine as Black Widow & I highly doubt that's going to change simply because the character is blonde now. :o

Now that her hair is blonde she should change her nickname to Argiope aurantia.

HA

I find it pretty amusing how people in the YouTube reactions are like WTF SHE'S BLONDE NOW LOL? I get people are so used to red hair, but it's going to make sense in terms of context in the movie, because if she's trying to go into hiding than why wouldn't she alter her look? It's the same with Cap, but at least everybody seems to agree that he looks way more badass with a beard.

I just can't express how much I love MCU's Black Widow.

She has a tragic past that regrets everyday and while she knows she can't compensate the loss of everyone she killed, she still feels the need to save as many people as she can because that's the least she can do.
She joined SHIELD for that reason, and became the best agent of them all.
When the moment came, she didn't think it twice before joining the fight to beat, literally, a god and his army of aliens. "This is monsters and magic, and nothing we were ever trained for".
Then she didn't stop when she realized everyone would know her past at the end of TWS. She was ready to face it.
Yeah, she fell in love. And while a lot of people didn't like the relationship between her and Bruce, I think it was very well done. She had reached the point of realization that she could do anything she wanted: avenge the lives of the innocent, be herself and even love someone. She wanted closure and finally live in peace next to someone else.
When she sees that won't be possible, she once again joins the fight. Against a huge army of killing robots.
She defends her way of thinking during CW, but when she finds herself in the wrong side she does what's possible to help her friend. Even if this means becoming a wanted criminal once again.
Now she's coming back into this war. With not much info of what she'll bring to the table, we do see her in the battlefield alongside other people and creatures way more powerful than her. But she's there, brave and ready. She's willing to risk her life because she knows that's the right thing to do.

Even without powers (again, talking about the MCU version), Natasha has definitely become one of earth's mightiest heroes.
And even with Wanda, Sharon, Jessica, May, Daisy, Gamora, Valkyrie and soon Carol, Shuri and Hope... Natsaha is, in my opinion, the OG female bad ass hero.

It's frustrating how many people missed Nat's motivation in helping Cap in the airport. She didn't think that she was on the wrong side. She was afraid for the lives of her fellow Avengers and she wanted to stop the battle ASAP, hence she told Tony: "Steve isn't gonna stop. If you don't either, Rhodey will be our best-case scenario". She let Steve go, because she knew someone would get hurt otherwise.

Regardless of her motivations, if her "team" was putting the lives of her fellow Avengers in danger, then she was on the "wrong" side.

No. It's because she knew Cap isn't gonna stop. She even points out: "You aren't gonna stop". It takes both teams to fight, not one. There wasn't the wrong side or the right side.

Not wrong in the conflict as a whole. But wrong in that particular moment.

Sorry, I still don't understand your logic. If you are on the wrong side, this implies that the other one is the right side. But, again, it takes both teams to fight and endanger lives, not one.

Can't believe we're still dealing with people having issues with her having blonde hair even though there's a precedent for it in the comic books.

Ikr?

Im not complaining. I can't wait to see how she'll fit in the context of the film along with her fellow Avengers. :D
