Id like her as Moneypenny, that role would be nice. Im not sure if i would like her as the rumoured Quantum boss though. Personally i would love either Keeley Hawes or Lena Headley as Miss Moneypenny...

Keeley Hawes would definately be a good fit;

actually, she'd be a better fit than Weisz, the more I think about it.

I thought they weren't going to have Quantum in the next film?

That brings up a good question? Would one be mad if they ditch Quantum?

I wouldn't care if it ends up being a great story without Quantum. But that would make QoS totally irrelevant as a movie.

I hope so. I feel like I need a break from Quantum. Other than the Connery/Lazenby/Connery films, the Bond series hasn't been heavily continuity conscious though there were always small references to past films in some of the films.

I'd rather have a one-shot story than start packing on continuity now.

They could centre on another villain but still keep a Quantum plot line in there just to make them still a present and viable threat - if memory serves, they have referenced SPECTRE in the past without the focused villain necessarilly being invloved with SPECTRE.

Out of Hawes, Heady and Weiz, the only fit for moneypenny is Hawes. Heady and Weiz are more bond girl material than moneypenny material.

what the i thought things were full steam ahead since mgm troubles are over.

No 2012 release, and that's it for Craig, I tells ya.

Daniel Craig is a more successful version of Timothy Dalton. Their common history with Bond is amazing. One successful film that returns to the serious side (Living Daylights/Casino Royale), a follow-up that most people didn't like (License to Kill/Quantum) and then everything fell apart because of business situations.

I can't wait till the next Pierce Brosnan/GoldenEye.

Happen to disagree - even if Craig's schedule is stacked, I feel that everyone concerned will move hell and high water to make sure he's able to do it at some point. In fact, even that article says that the delay could be a good thing in terms of his schedule.

Craig definately wants to do it, the director and producers certainly want him to do it, ergo....they'll find a way.

well i would hope things dont get delayed to much more. I am sure mendas and craig want to do bond still. It would suck if things keep going nowhere to long and we loose everything.

I think it's important not to jump to negative conclusions. Yes, it sucks that we are going to have to wait longer for the next installment of 007, but reports of the death of Craig's Bond (or indeed of the franchise) are extremely premature at this point.

I think it's the way The Playlist wrote that makes it sound like it's a lot more foreboding than what it actually is.

totally brian i guess we will just have to see what mgm and eon says for the film.

Update: Here’s what happened. Variety tried to be bloggers and failed and dug up a Total Film interview from January 2010 that they mistook for 2011. We were dumb enough to follow suit—though so did half the Internet. Nothing to see here, please move on.
:woot:

Seriously, F Variety.

Deadline.com has made Variety irrelevant.

Both Deadline and Hollywood Reporter have surpassed Variety.
