I respect her performance. I do not respect the way her character was presented and the situations she was put in.
Nope.
The truth is that as I have probably said before I don't have a romantic bone in my body. This is not a joke, I am being deadly serious. Romance and relationships just sicken me and I have no desire to see them in movies. So much so that whenever I watch either of the Spidey movies I fast forward it when Pete and MJ are in the same room together simply so I don't have to watch the vomit inducing romantic rubbish

well thats your opinion and I'm fine with that. but a Movie like Spider-man can't be all action and what not. there has to be a storyline that works and romance is actually a huge part of the film. And quite frankly, it's one of the things that have made these Spidey films so great. don't get me wtong, I LOVE the action scenes in the film and there can't be a Spidey film without those action Scenes but Story is what matters the most. If you have read the Comics then you will see that there is romance in there with Gwen and MJ (mostly back in the late 1960's and early 1970's with Gwen, MJ, and Peter). why do you think Gwrn Stacey dieing in Amazing Spider-man issue#121 was such a tragic and monumental thing in the Spidey mythos? Gwen was Peters girlfreind, he loved her dearly. So as you can see, Romance plays a huge part in the Comics and in the Films.Originally Posted by wolfsfang![]()

Am I being too bold to state that I wished Peter would end up with Gwen for awhile in this franchise? I just love Bryce Dallas Howard's performance and she fot the character so perfectly. Just for old time's sake I'd like to see Gwen and Peter date while MJ has a little vacation, perhaps go to Cali to try out for a Soap Opera Role.
I agree and want the same thing but I'd rather have MJ still around just to add tension and make things uncomfortable but I seriously want pete and gwen to be in a relationship together....must....have.....it.
In another post I stated that I had just finished reading spider-man blue for like the millionth time, there are so many opportunities to handle the likes of gwen and mj in a much better fashion, using smb as a rogh blue print.

Kirsten looks good. Bryce looks great.t:
Bryce Dallas Howard was really hot in this movie & she had great sex appeal, at least much more than Kirsten Dunst. I'd like for Arad to have Mary Jane killed off & Peter marries Gwen Stacy instead.
i thought kirsten actually finally nailed the part of MJ in spidey 3, its just a shame it took her that long
i think raimi just wanted to show us how mature mj has become, since the first spidey movie, when she was only a senior in high school
My main gripe with M.J. was the fact that everything little thing was a problem for her. Of course, Peter was even more brash in SPIDER-MAN 3 than the first two and did some stupid things overall. The two were just in trouble territory, period, but that came down to scripting.
That's not scripting, that's a relationship. Peter and MJ just got together at the very end of SM2. The point of SM3 is to show if that relationship has any substance to it, if it can endure. Bad things happened to the both of them in SM3 and yet they still manage to stay together by the end.
Every meaningful relationship has that first big fight; that's what SM3 is for Peter and MJ.
