On paper this sounds like a great idea but John Williams ran out of creative juices a while ago. Take his soundtrack to The Farce (er... The Force!) Awakens. It's just..... there. He put more effort into his Prequel soundtracks and even those couldn't compare to his original Star Wars soundtracks.

I'd rather take a chance with John Williams than most of the other composers Marvel hired for their movies.

Nice poster. And cool that Falcon is deemed worthy to get his own one.

In the movie : Wanda > Vision or Vision > wanda ? Vison from Civil War > Vison Avengers 2 ?

The only things Marvel has done well for me in the music department is The Avengers theme and the entirety of Iron Man 3's soundtrack. Everything else never quite stuck out to me.

The Guardians soundtrack was pretty dope, not the score the awesome mix

The Gaurdians ST was reminescent of Avengers. Which was expected.

The "main" theme for the Guardians even sounded sort of like a remix/alternate version of the Avengers theme.

It was kinda generic, but I liked the Guardians theme.

All of Marvel's scores are generic to me. At least Avengers, Cap1 and Thor1 were enjoyable listens, though. IM3 had a nice theme but not much else. I can't stand Bryan Tyler's orchestration style, tbh. Not a big fan of Jackman's TWS score, but I'll take that over anything from Tyler in a heartbeat. Loved his work on First Class.

Dat Kettle be black. You call others out for low standards then mention ASM2's soundtrack raised it to another level. Yeah it went from garbage to hot garbage.

Seconded. Elitists are so cute.

You should also check out his Kickass and Big Hero 6 scores. :hmr: Too bad Tyler is now on his way tp 'generic-ize' Power Rangers

Out of those I only like the first part of Hiro's theme. I feel like Jackson is hit and miss, but I loved his Black Panther theme as well as all the callbacks in Civil War. Tyler does get pretty generic although he outdid himself with the Marvel logo theme. I wanna see Giacchino take on a Marvel movie tbh.

Loved his work on Kick-Ass too, will have to check out Big Hero 6.

Jackman did the "Wreck-it Ralph" score too, which had a really cool video gamey sound

Can any photoshop wizards remove the test here?

I wish Bear McCreary was contracted for a film. His intro for Black Sails is hands down one of my favorite themes for any show. So damn catchy.

His score for SHIELD is also pretty solid, too.

His score for BSG is his magnum opus, imo, but I noticed he did the score for 10 Cloverfield Lane, so I hope that leads to some higher profile film work for him. Love that guy.

My favorite MCU score is still Thor: The Dark World. Followed by The Winter Soldier score.

His score for Starz's Outlander show is good too.

I liked the main theme for Iron Man 3, but the only full soundtrack from the MCU that I find is a standout is the first Iron Man's by Ramin Djawadi. Was disappointed he didn't score the sequels, I thought that one had a unique and distinct sound that fit quite well.
