A little? Lol.I mean the whole big moment is about being human, not a girl. Ok, the use of "I'm just a girl" was maybe a little too tongue in cheek but meh.

What do you mean by at times it forgets to be a superhero movie, or that she suppose to be a hero?
A little? Lol.
Yes, because that would solve everything wouldn’t it?I would have gone Alanis Morrissette "You oughta know" to really rile up the man babies.

What ever girl power there was in WW was subtle and handled with all the care of Renaissance sculptor. In this film it's handled with all the care of a sledge hammer to a brick wall. It is at times hilariously on the nose, lol.
I stand by what I said earlier. With the exception of the "Just a Girl" fight scene (which I'm not sure it even counts), there were zero "girl power" moments in this movie. Zero.
They may as well have stopped the movie and addressed the audience directly. My audience collectively groaned at the moment, lol.The young girl literally says to her mother doesn't she want to be a positive example to her, or words to that effect.
Spoiler tag it but is the name Captain Marvel actually said in this movie?
I will say there's, I guess you would call it a reveal at the 3rd act. Basically some people show up and honestly its out of the blue and I can't really track how and when they got involved.
Talos family on Mar Vell's ship. What was any of that? How did they get there? How long were they there? Talos kid is like 12 or so but the ship has a bunch of 60s and 70s items like a juke box and an old pinball. What were they indicating with that?
I would imagine
Mar-Vell took them there to keep them safe. The other stuff is memorabilia she bought from pawnshops and made her fortune from.
She made her fortune from pawn shops? When was that established?
Seen it today. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. It's not on par with the best MCU entries (the Russo ones, Avengers, Black Panther, Iron Man or Ragnarok) but it's a fun ride exploring mostly the mystery of how Carol Danvers became Captain Marvel. The action was exciting (saw it in 4DX), the sfx top notch. Right now I'd give it a 9/10 but it felt a little long at some points so maybe on a second viewing it'd more of an 8.
Depends, if you consider Black Panther, Infinity War, Iron Man, etc... as good as those films you mentionned or not. I was using the Marvel Studios films for the ranking system, not all films. You just gave a "pretty good" movie a 9/10???
A 10 would be pretty much perfect...we're talking The Godfather...Citizen Kane. And this is RIGHT below perfection?
