New 'Cat in the Hat' Movie in the Works From Warner Bros.
Warner Animation Group is ready to have lots of good fun that is funny.

The animation division of Warner Bros. Pictures has struck a deal with Dr. Seuss Enterprises to produce a series of films based on the characters and stories created by childhood mainstay Dr. Seuss, the companies jointly announced Wednesday.

The first project out of the gate will be a fully animated version of Seuss’ classic, The Cat in the Hat. The project is in the development stage and a search for a writer will begin shortly.

Can't be worse than the live-action abomination.

I actually never bothered with the live-action one. Was it really that bad?

Sexual innuendos, perplexing childish humor, horrible acting, and fourth wall jokes shamelessly advertising Universal Studios and songs made for the soundtrack. Also Paris Hilton is in it.

So after Grinch WB handles the remaining?

Stupid as that movie was, the Cupcake making scene was still a classic to me.

I wonder how this will turn out, since Illumination Entertainment and WB now own an animated movie deal with Dr. Seuss

Production begins in 2019 (or by mid 2020)

As long as it isn’t Illumination again. I know they made tons of money, but they’ve already screwed up two Seuss adaptations.

I actually liked the Lorax. Haven't seen Grinch yet.

Grinch felt hollow and unnecessary to me. I prefer the Jim Carrey version.

Breathlessly awaiting the big-screen adaptation of "Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose".

Really, why do they keep going back to the same Seuss stories over and over when he wrote so many of them?

The lengthy production process for animated stuff is always wild to me.

Cute! I hope they somehow work in the baseball bat meme somehow
