Humanity really is going to hell when both of those actresses are being fancast as Catwoman..First Beckinsale gets labeled as a "bad actress" and now Carla?
Humanity is really going to ****.![]()
I've always found myself getting lost in her beauty, and she's a solid actress who's put in work over several years. At 33, she's not too young for Ben's Bruce. And she sure as hell would smash that catsuit.I think Gugu Mbatha-Raw would make a great Selina Kyle. She can act and fits the whole Selina Kyle vibe.

Just don't give us some girl in her 20's. That's all I ask.
She'd be amazing. I think going for a woman of color would be refreshing. It'd add a nice amount of diversity to Sirens

I wouldn't exactly say that the character is racially ambiguous. She was conceived as a white woman with black hair, akin to the femme fatales from film noirs of the time, and has been portrayed as white woman with black hair throughout the comics for decades, with only a reference to Cuban ancestry, before they retconned that with the whole Falcone family thing, hence making her Sicilian.
With that being said, I do think that character lends itself more easily toward black or Hispanic ethnicity, than some other DC characters.
Yeah, when I think of Catwoman, the words "dark and sultry" immediately come to mind; and those qualities can be ascribed to women of all backgrounds, including whites, blacks, Asians, and Hispanics (who, technically, can be of any race themselves).
As for my current top pick, the ageless Kate Beckinsale seems like she would be a good fit for the role. Another actress who recently caught my eye is Olivia Munn. Granted, some of her previous film work has been a little lackluster, but she managed to redeem herself in HBO's short-lived series The Newsroom.
