Still Paula Patton or Emily Blunt for me.

First Beckinsale gets labeled as a "bad actress" and now Carla?

Humanity is really going to ****. :csad:
Humanity really is going to hell when both of those actresses are being fancast as Catwoman..

I think Gugu Mbatha-Raw would make a great Selina Kyle. She can act and fits the whole Selina Kyle vibe.

I've always found myself getting lost in her beauty, and she's a solid actress who's put in work over several years. At 33, she's not too young for Ben's Bruce. And she sure as hell would smash that catsuit.

Has my vote.

You're the same person who passed on Kate Beckinsale too. You pass on everybody. :o

Don't want to sound like a social justice warrior, but I'm leaning towards a woman of color for Catwoman. There's already precendent for it with Halle Berry and Eartha Kitt.

I like Paula Patton and Rosario Dawson a lot for the role. Ruth Negga would be legit too.

Gugu Mbatha Raw? Never seen her in anything but she DEFINITELY has the look

Harley is already white, and Id rather keep Poison Ivy as a ginger, so the Sirens would benefit from a bit of diversity imo.

I like Gugu (heh) but Thandie Newton feels better suited to me.

She's also Affleck's age if a ten year difference is too much for some.

A really good performance of Beckinsale's for me is in Click, especially that scene in the rain when Michael is dying.

Just don't give us some girl in her 20's. That's all I ask.

Agreed. The present-day actress has to at least plausibly seem to be in the same-ish age range as Bruce Wayne. If she's not at least solidly in her 30s, the result is eww.

I think I'd be happy with Charlize Theron. Beckinsale would probably be my second fave pick for Catwoman. Rosario Dawson would be cool too.

I normally wouldn't of considered Paula Patton for this but I'm actually fine with it. I could go for her with this.

She'd be amazing. I think going for a woman of color would be refreshing. It'd add a nice amount of diversity to Sirens

Absolutely. It'd be a perfect change of pace. And I'd like to see how she and Margot would work alongside one another.

Payton's also got a build that lends itself to the physicality she displayed in Mission Impossible. The woman's got shoulders.

My top choice would be Charlize Theron, it has been for years actually, haven't thought of it since I dropped my "Angelina Jolie for Catwoman" years ago....

Beckinsale is as "hnnnnngggg" as humanly possible, I guess I've just never seen anything with her where I've impressed with her as an actor (I mostly remember her from the Underword series, of course...)

Paula Patton would be so hnnnnnngggg :ilv:

Rosario Dawson would be the ultimate HHNNNNNNNGGGGGGG!!! She's hotter than the sun and an amazing actress...

As long as they choose an actress who's AT LEAST mid-30s, I'd be initially happy...

Polux

Catwoman is racially ambiguous so that's not a problem at all. Selina can be black, caucasian, asian, latina and anything in between. I think most people wouldn't care.

And Thandie Newton and Paula Patton are both great picks. Hnnnng.

I wouldn't exactly say that the character is racially ambiguous. She was conceived as a white woman with black hair, akin to the femme fatales from film noirs of the time, and has been portrayed as white woman with black hair throughout the comics for decades, with only a reference to Cuban ancestry, before they retconned that with the whole Falcone family thing, hence making her Sicilian.

With that being said, I do think that character lends itself more easily toward black or Hispanic ethnicity, than some other DC characters.

Paula Patton might be my favorite right now! It's changing all the time . But a poc as Catwoman just sounds right. I'm not down with racebending on all characters, but it just works with Catwoman

I think with Catwoman it's always okay since the character can truly lean either way. And Paula Patton is my top choice now, too. She's effectively replaced Kate Beckinsale in that regard.

Yeah, when I think of Catwoman, the words "dark and sultry" immediately come to mind; and those qualities can be ascribed to women of all backgrounds, including whites, blacks, Asians, and Hispanics (who, technically, can be of any race themselves).

As for my current top pick, the ageless Kate Beckinsale seems like she would be a good fit for the role. Another actress who recently caught my eye is Olivia Munn. Granted, some of her previous film work has been a little lackluster, but she managed to redeem herself in HBO's short-lived series The Newsroom.

Indeed.

Hm, Olivia Munn never came to mind, though it seems she fits the type... probably because I still see her as a television presenter, primarily.
