I loved Hathaway as Catwoman. I'd be up for her return.

Not going to happen, but a lovely dream to have. She was awesome.

Well then, she'd fit right in with the actor currently miscast as Batman.

HA! I don't think he's miscast, just really badly written.

I think if Affleck ever approached Hathaway to play a character other than Selina Kyle in his Batman movie, she would do it in a heartbeat. I would love to see her slip on that tight vinyl outfit again, but she has a sense of loyalty to Nolan for that specific character.

But if Affleck wrote Selina into the DCCU with Hathaway in mind, I could see her doing it if it was significantly different from Nolan's version.

It would confuse people though, they'd be thinking the two movie universes are one.

Maybe. I'm not sure. I felt that Affleck lacked that extra intensity needed for the character. Although maybe he'll be able to tap into that when he's the one directing the film. I hope so. But for now, I find his Batman and Bruce kinda flat.

I feel like Mendes is kinda hit or miss. She can turn out a really great performance like she did in The Place Beyond the Pines, but in most of the more mainstream stuff she's done she's been bad or boring.

We badly need a fresh face. Maybe I'm just tired of reading about the same people for the last 10 years, but at this point I'd rather feel surprised (but elated) at a newcomer in this role. The stature of the character will speak for itself, there's no need to get a name. Audition the hell out of aspiring actresses. Not like there will be a lack of willing candidates.

The thing about that is that "newcomer" and "aspiring actress" seem to inevitably skew young. We don't need a young Catwoman next to a 45 year old Batman. Early 30s at minimum. I don't want to hear about a damn twenty-something being in the running.

I'm more concerned with her coming off like a woman than a girl. Obviously that typically requires an "older" range, but I've seen plenty of 20 year olds who are well past the teen/girl stage in physical prowess and overall vibe.

If our next Selina is in her mid to late 20s, I can't say I'd complain given she possesses all the desired attributes of the character.

But Catwoman is a staple in Batman's mythos. If we're getting a more experienced & mature Batman, that needs to extend to her too. Otherwise any chance at real history between the two gets thrown out the window...unless they plan on making this Bruce interested in teen girls.

Rebecca Ferguson could be a nice one. (from what i have seen in last Mission Impossible : Rouge Nation)

She has looks & charisma. Good age next to Affleck.

That's why Anne Hathaway would be a good choice to be Selina Kyle again. Anne is 33. Ben is 44. Not too extreme an age difference. The vast majority of people aren't going to care that Batman was played by a different actor the last time she played Selina Kyle. And the ones that do care will likely be offset by the people happy to see her again or the ones who associate her with Catwoman. I mean are we going to dictate who gets cast in a movie based on people who are too stupid to tell this movie isn't in the same universe? If anything it might be more confusing for a lot of people to get someone else.

I think she could pull off either character perfectly.

I'm sure she could, it's just my own perception of her. I think she has this Ingrid Bergman thing going on, gives off a blue blooded vibe that suits Andrea more.
