If they want to go the "Eartha Kitt" route with Selina, then Rosario Dawson or Ruth Negga would be good choices imo.

@batboy: why are you being so sensitive? I think the image is actually great it's just unless you told me who you were modeling the face on I would have just thought that was your interpretation of Selina.

My choice for Selena is Kate Beckinsale. Right age for Affleck's Batman. She has both the acting and action chops for the role.

I mean other actors have crossed over before, and she's more on the TV side of things anyway (which from what's been reported, kind of does it's own thing mostly separate from the films anyway).

So it may make her a less likely option to a degree. But I don't think that it rules her out completely.

Theron would be a good choice IMO. As well as a good casting, a strong script and competent director is also required. As we have seen in the DCEU so far, good/great actors and actresses have struggled with terrible material and poor direction.

I don't know about a mid-40's Batman banging a late-20's Catwoman :/

Sure, Joker is roughly the same age as Bats, but we all know his relationship with Harley is meant to be creepy

I'm just thinking of story.

Say history isn't altered, but Catwoman has been around longer than Harleen Quinzell was Harley Quinn, and is the same age. Wouldn't Selina have been in her late teens or early 20's if a relationship with Bruce had already begun?
I'm not into that idea.

I'd prefer an actress closer to Ben's age, for the purpose of story, history, etc.

Why can't Catwoman be the elder mentor figure of the team, just as Batman is for the Justice League... yes, I'm aware of Diana being thousands of years old, but you know what I mean... by human standards

It's why I'm a fan of Charlize Theron or Thandie Newton occupying that position, rather than some 26-year-old.

That Sirens movie will target teen and young girls so for them it makes sense to cast younger actresses.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that an 18 year old should be cast in the role. The supposed need to find someone who was born in the same or an adjacent year to Ben Affleck is limiting and illogical, however.

In any case, the nature of the character requires her to be played "older" and more mature than Harley. If Margot Robbie played both roles opposite herself a la Double Impact (awesome movie), then Selina would seem the older of the two.

I'm not saying bang on the dot around Ben's age. If Emily Blunt was cast, who is 33, then I wouldn't have a problem with that. I would like some genuine authenticity if Selina was older, closer to Bruce's age, even if a few years off, and that would obviously require an actress closer to Ben's age. But like I said, I have zero problem with an actress in her 30's playing the part... but in her 20's, if physically noticeable, and if Selina was also born around 1990 to match Harley, for the sake of attracting a younger audience, then that's where my problems come to stand.

Basically, I don't want a Catwoman in her 20's or played by an actress in her 20's... limiting and illogical, definitely, but I don't much care for those things

Let Catwoman be in her mid-late 30s/early 40s and have a seasoned actress in the role just like they have an actors in their 40s be Batman. Selena should be no where near Harleys age just as she shouldnt be near any of the Robins age.
