Imo, Anne Hathaway as Selina/Catwoman is overrated. Considering this is a new continuity, I severely doubt she'll be brought back. If that were the case, we'd have J.K. Simmons back as Jonah Jameson but that's not happening either.

Well, J.K. Simmons is playing Commissioner Gordon. It is sort of bizarre, people can accept him as Gordon when he played Jameson in a different movie.
But can't accept Hathaway playing Catwoman in a new movie because she played Catwoman in a different movie.
"Oh, look, it's that guy as Gordon. Didn't he used to play J. Jonah Jameson?"
"Oh, look, it's that woman as Catwoman. Didn't she used to play Catwoman?

But Jameson and Gordon are two completely different characters from two completely different companies. Why would they choose an actor to play the exact same role but for a different franchise that has nothing to do with the last one? It makes no sense. I loved Hathaway as Selina and I would have liked to see more of her, but the Nolan films are done. Give someone else a chance.

That's because he's an actor. And actors typically work for various companies throughout their career. That's how the business works.

With Hathaway, it makes no sense to introduce her again as Catwoman in a new continuity when she already portrayed the character & doing so would mean skipping over giving another actress an opportunity.

Fact is, WB will not be hiring Hathaway as the character again. She can do a million interviews stating she wants to portray the character again, but it simply isn't going to happen.

Beckinsale is my pick for Catwoman, she's not a great actress but she's well above average and she fits the role well. She can play both sides of the character, looks the part and has experience in action movies.

As for Carla, I just don't think she's a decent actress. To each their own.

I think Gugu Mbatha-Raw would make a great Selina Kyle. She can act and fits the whole Selina Kyle vibe.
