Could be a longshot but some things to consider:

  1. Angel isn't being used by any X-team currently.
  2. Let's not forget the Giant Size Hulk story which featured the Champions,JQ said this story would heavily factor into Post Planet Hulk stories
  3. JQ mentioned in a JF that there are still 2 new teams in the MU which have yet to be unveiled.
  4. There was a winged individual pictured beside Hulk in the current issue of Hulk
  5. Dr.Strange is destined to join a team still.
What do you guys think?Could be something,or it could just turn out to be nothing.

Would be cool. Always liked the Champions.

Who was all on that team, like, Hercules and Iceman or some weird crap?

... and Black Widow and Ghost Rider, I believe.

Angel, Iceman, Black Widow, Ghost Rider, Hercules and Darkstar.

According to Tony Isabella (writer of Champions), he wanted to have Angel & Iceman in a sort of "buddy book". Due to editorial interference, Black Widow, Hercules, & Ghost Rider got added.

Did Darkstar actually join the Champions? She was introduced in the series & she ended up working with them, but did she actually join?

I think Angel should join the Astonishing X-Men. But that's just me.

Darkstar is usually counted as a member, yeah. I'd like a Champions revival, because I always enjoyed the offbeatness of the team.

Now that does make sense, you could be on to something.:meow:

Isn't Hulk still in space? I then doubt it's Archangel.

Well, it's possible. Iceman and Black Widow are both tied up with teams, though. I think Joe Q's hints regarding that story involve Hercules siding with Hulk when Hulk gets back.

I see Dr. Strange ending up an Avenger, anyway.

It was just one of those montages,it wasn't a physical picture of events taking place.

Incidentally, I've learned from Newsarama that BLACK PANTHER #21 is more of a key to CW than Marvel advertised; in it

The U.S. OUTRIGHT makes a law that is far more repressive than the SHRA, which only required superheroes to register with the government and be on hand as agents (with training and pay). In this issue a law is passed that literally orders superheroes to REVEAL their identities to the public as well as with Washington. That means that's more than just the feds knowing; EVERYONE has to know. Not even COPS have to do that (can you name all of the cops in your district by name? I doubt it). Naturally this causes the rift we have seen and explains some actions better).

As for the Champions, their line-up was:

Angel
Iceman
Ghost Rider (John Blaze)
Black Widow
Hercules
Darkstar
Bill Foster/"Black" Goliath was also an ally

As of now, Darkstar and Bill Foster are dead. Ghost Rider is JUST back from Hell and who knows if he'll be back for good. Angel, Iceman, and Hercules are at least all on the same page so far about registration (at least Iceman & Angel were willing to stand against Iron Man if he went after the 198 in CW: X-MEN). However, Black Widow is an agent of SHIELD and thus so far pro-SHRA. Lord knows what side Ghost Rider would choose. It was an odd, eclectic team, but so are the New Avengers (Echo, really?). I'd be game for seeing a possible relaunch with a good creative team and purpose.

What a stupid thing to say. First of all, cops totally have to do that. Your reasoning is stupid too. Just because we don't know the names of all the cops in our district doesn't mean their names aren't public knowledge. Not knowing the names of all cops in a particular district doesn't equate with your argument at ALL. I doubt most people would know the names of ALL registered superheroes.:whatever:

That's not the same as lining up all the cops in your district and having them state their full names on live cameras, like superheroes seemingly have to do. They may as well have all superheroes say, "My name is ______, I live on ______, and ______ are my family members. Please, all supervillians, when you inevitably take them hostage and kill them to hurt me, do it in this order: ______"

Part of the many problems with the SHRA side is that they're willing to endanger every civilian the hero knows or ever knew in the name of keeping THEM in line. That's probably more civilians endangered than heroes. And, no, SHIELD security isn't enough. I've seen villians slaughter them by the dozens countless times. And do you just lock these civilian family members in SHIELD cells and treat them as prisoners to try to protect them?

And c'mon. Tell me if you saw, say, Iron Man stating his name in front of a camera, you're not going to remember it?

Cops, federal agents, etc. are federally recognized, but that is not the same as coming foward in the public eye, or being a superhero who naturally will have more status in the public eye.

Oh so now superheroes have to all get on tv and announce their identities?:whatever: Has anyone been forced to do that yet? Are you telling me that the press conference reveal is part of the law?:whatever:

The reason "Not even COPS have to do that" is because not even superhumans have to do that. :whatever:

And haven't you ever heard of a convict taking revenge on a cop? It's totally a Law & Order staple my man

waiting for the double post

Curse you Not Jake! Curses. I, PWN3R RANGER, had a brilliant plan to interrupt your trademark double ****e posts. But alas! You didn't fall for it.

Well played. Well played indeed.

I like to switch it up. Poop is a dish best served fresh

Iron Man and Spider-Man stating their names is the equivalent of Reagan going to the mall to buy socks to inspire Christmas shopping. Remember the SHRA registers you as an agent of the Government, not necessarily as a publically known super celebrity.

The only reason certain Pro SHRA members have gotten on TV is to show their support for the act, not because it is required by law that they get on TV. You can look up any cop in your district, can go up and even ask their name, HELL IT'S ON THEIR UNIFORM. So your pretty much wrong about this. Most people in the Marvel Universe did not even know who Bantam was, much less remember his name. Hell some people don't even know the names of actors and actresses who are on TV.

So no it's not equatable

Captain America's opposition was two fold one: that supervillains COULD find out, and two: that the Government would be telling us who the villains were (the big issue). The issue is freedom vs safety, not exposure versus secret identities. Remember the register with SHIELD not CBS.

Also Daredevil hung with the Champions for a while....Why does no on remember this?

That said I hope we get it....>Angel needs to come back to the spotlight...**** it he can bring husk for all I care.
