Anyway, so who will be in the New Champions. Even if none of the former heroes enjoyed being on the Champions, doesn't mean they wouldn't be part of the team.

Hercules and Archangel, should definetly be on the team. I dont know about Ghost Rider, but he is free if they wanted to use him. Iceman and Black Widow are both busy on other teams, but former member Darkstar is not being used currently. I would like to see some mutants besides Archangel on the team, some mutants not being used.

I think the Champions should be the minor leagues compared to the Avengers.

ghost rider has his own ongoing, they wont put him on the team. darkstar is dead (read new x-men grant morrison run) archangel is crazy, black widow is busy with shield's civil war. hercules has been revamped as a character though in civil war so i expect great things from him.

Anyway, Dan Slott's new series has been revealed as AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE, so it is not a new Champions series. But you never know if they'd pop up.

Just because somebody has there own ongoing doesn't mean they cant be in a team book: Wolverine, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Ms. Marvel, granted they are all Marvels big dogs, but so was Ghost Rider at one time.
Ghost Rider has more of a cult following, being on the Champions would give him more exposure to fans who might not be interested in his ongoing, though he was very popular in the 90's, meny young readers probably dont even know who he is. He doesn't really seem like a team character but, most teams have one of those guys on there team.
I didn't know Darkstar was dead, I looked her up on Wikipedia (probably not updated) and it didn't mention anything about her death.
Archangel also needs a lot more exposure, when was the last time he played a big role in the X-Men? X-Men Civil War, and it wasn't even a huge role, and I dont think he was crazy there, so like somebody else said, I dont know where you got that from.
I also expect big things from Hercules, I'd actually like to see him be the one to take down Klor.

X-Corporation

In New X-Men #130, she had joined the X-Corporation Paris branch, in which she was possessed by Weapon XII, a creation of the Weapon Plus Project, and was subsequently killed by Fantomex. A funeral was held in her honor at Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, where she was buried.

She-Hulk (she not on any team)
Hawkeye (no reason really just think he kinda fits the champions melting pot of characters)

Funny thing, Ghost Rider also had his own ongoing back during the original Champions, he missed a couple issues due to it, but it still worked......And that was back when Continuity meant something.
