The Dark Knight The Christian Bale/Bruce Wayne thread

Oh, man. I think this was his first real blunder. I have a strong feeling he could've gotten his first Oscar of he had taken the role. Well, at least we have T4, I guess.:brucebat:

I always saw a resemblance in Bush and Bale. Strange huh?

A bit, but now that I think about it, Bale looks much more like Bush than Brolin, IMO, though Brolin will surely kick ass in W. Still, would've been mighty interesting seeing Bale as W.

None of them look like Bush. Open your eyes. Last time I checked, Bale is good looking, Brolin looks ******ed, and Bush looks like a monkey...and probably is a monkey.

Hopefully Granpa monkey and she-monkey don't win the white house. Things will get ugly.

Yes, we all know that. I never said Bale looked like Bush, but compared to Brolin, can pull it off MUCH better. Don't tell me to other my eyes, maybe you should pick up what I'm writing a bit better.:whatever:

Wow, Bale as Bush. I never knew that. I'm kinda bummed he turned down the role now. :(

What's wrong? Brolin laughed at you when you bent over and presented your bumhole to him?

Cute

I'll admit that he overdid the Batman voice in TDK(he had it perfect in Begins), but if anyone thinks what he said as Batman was unintelligible, they need to get their ears cleaned out.

The FIRST time I saw the movie, I had NO problem hearing and understanding what Batman said.

Maybe the world is going deaf.

Uno mass... I rewatched the final scene between Batman and Joker(thanks youtube clip) and everybody is exaggerating the HELL out of the "goooood" line. There's nothing overdone about the way he said it, he didn't enlongate it at all.

He held the line for a full second longer than it would regularly be said. You've gotta be kidding if you heard no discrepancy in that.

Just watched it again and I counted this time.

"One mississippi."

So it takes him one second to say it, I find no problem with that. The way people are going on it's like he's extended the "oo"s to where he says good for five seconds or something like that.

It's hyperbole. Everyone knows it's not 5 seconds. But it's most definitely elongated compared to the word's natural use. You don't have to count to notice that.

Can you picture yourself in a normal conversation saying something like, "that movie was goooood" without trying to push your tongue?

I could probably get "good" out in half a second.

I dunno, I didn't notice any problems the first three times I saw TDK and when people brought it up and I saw it again, I feel like they are fussing about nothing.

Yea I'm starting to miss seeing Bale as a baddie, well someone who isn't noble anyway!

I liked Bale's voice in TDK. When he was talking normally it was ok. When he was trying to act hurt or whatever it was really bad.

When the joker had pinned him down, he had throat cancer.
When he said Dent's quote (die a hero...) it was like he had run a marathon.
etc....

Yeah i know he was hurt and all, but it could have been better. I liked his voice on every other occasion, even more than BB. For example when he asks Gordon to let him go first in the building, all his (few) lines when he captured Scarecrow...

As for "good", i think you should undestand that he is talking in his batman voice. He is being a bit theatrical. Its only natural. I found it ok. Actually, the only line he elongated too much was the "doooo" line in begins.

I see what you're saying, Mr. Earle. I can see why people would complain about his voice, though I love it. I'm just much more invested as to what Bale's saying as opposed to how he's saying it. Bale, IMO, beats any other live action Batman, not counting Kevin Conroy for obvious reasons, because he looks like he can pull of the role of Batman in reality. Not just physically, something even the great George Clooney can't do, but he seems like a kinda guy that's been through a lot, but keeps going. I mean, Newsies was as bad as 7 years of rigirous training, right?:brucebat:

Well he basically did run a marathon. He'd fought countless SWAT and goons, was attack by THREE Rottweilers and stabbed and beaten by Joker, I think he would be slightly out of breath.
