The Clinton Thread II - Part 2

Because a woman who says she is a victim of either is entitled to be believed . . . as long as her accusation doesn't threaten the Democrats' hold on power. :o
This statement works both ways.

"Because a woman who says she is a victim of either [sexual assault or rape] is entitled to be believed . . . as long as her accusation isn't against Trump."

yeah I mean multiple corroborated stories from varying legitimate media outlets vs a veiled threat from Anonymous that sounds eerily similar to Trump's recent alleged Epstein scandal... They're basically the same thing.

It's also crazy how Bill Clinton is apparently allowed to run for a 3rd term as President. And all of his alleged scandals are given equivalency to those of the GOP candidate.

You do realize this is the Clinton thread, right? It was started to discuss the Clinton family, of which Bill Clinton is a part. So, discussing Bubba's indiscretions and/or alleged indiscretions falls within the topic. And, there's no rule that says we're not allowed to talk about it while his wife is running for the Presidency. Well, not among people who value open discussion, anyway.

ah yes, the mighty Dems, who control only one of the branches of Federal govt and who have only 11 out of 50 governors. Tis a tenuous hold indeed.
The current President is a Democrat. Therefore, the Democrats currently have the power of the Presidency . . . which means they should want to continue their hold on that power. It's not that difficult to grasp, or maybe it is . . .

So, we're in agreement that partisan hypocrites will disregard or use allegations of sexual assault/rape as irrefutable proof, depending on which "side of the aisle" the one being accused is on. Good.

Stop being a victim, I wasnt saying what you could or couldn't discuss here. My point was pinning Bill Clinton's 20 year-old alleged transgressions on his wife as if its some reflection on her or her ability to handle the Presidency is ridiculous. Trump's are relevant because he's actually running for office. Bill is not. This is one of the worst false equivalencies out there.

Your gift for stating the obvious yet missing the point is astounding.

Stop with the "oppression of discussion" crap. I wasnt saying what you could or couldn't discuss here. Except I didn't pin Bill's behavior on his wife. Please quote the portion of my post where I did that. I'll wait. :yay:

But, apparently, since I'm going to have to explain this at some point: Hillary Clinton is only responsible for her own behavior in regard to Bubba. She has been accused of intimidating and belittling at least some of the women who accused her husband. Whether those allegations are true or not hasn't been proven. If it were true, though, I would think it ought to be a big strike against her. And yes, going after (alleged) sexual assault victims would reflect on her ability to handle the Presidency, because it would show her to be someone who cares more about power than anything else (again, if it is true). People with that mindset are the last ones who should be in power.

Your gift for stating the obvious yet missing the point is astounding.
I just disregarded your point, because it was idiotic. The Democrats aren't in power only when they control all three branches of the federal government (and also all state governorships, apparently). There is power in the Executive branch by itself. There is power in the Legislative, judicial, etc. Heck, even state governorships. It would be natural for parties to want to retain positions in those branches in order to retain the power that comes with that branch. I can't dumb this down any further. Please don't make me try . . .

There is a difference between disregarding uninvestigated claims and bringing up situations that were both litigated and settled decades ago that don't even pertain to the person running for office. It would be Hillary constantly bringing up Melania's nude photos and blaming them on Trump.

Clinton Answers Written Questions . . . in E-mail Lawsuit

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/clinton-answers-written-questions-in-email-lawsuit-229769

Hillary Clinton submitted formal answers under penalty of perjury on Thursday about her use of a private email server, saying 20 times that she did not recall the requested information or related discussions, while also asserting that no one ever warned her that the practice could run afoul of laws on preserving federal records.
Not sure that someone with memory problems this "poor" should be in the Oval Office. :o

But Trump . . .

It wasnt just directed at you, it was the inference I was seeing in a lot of places. You just happened to be the lucky one I quoted.

True, but the focus of Trump's accusations hasnt been on Hillary strong-arming Bill's alleged "victims." It's been this weird "guilt by association" thing where Hillary via Bill is being retried for events that took place in the 90's and it's now blown up in Trump's face spectacularly.

I just disregarded your point, because it was idiotic. I'd be with you had you said it like this and said "their hold on the Presidency" but you're comment came off like the Dems had control of power in the government and that just hasnt been the case, not since Obama's first term in office. As a party they've gotten very little done in the last 5+ years with the exception of an occasional executive order or SCOTUS decision where the Conservative justices joined them.

I literally have no idea how in the world "Hillary allegedly intimidated Bill's accusers!" is supposed to win married women over to Donald "grab women by the p***y" Trump. I honestly don't have an inkling of that thought process. It boggles my mind.

There are multiple men in my social circle (libertarians, coincidentally) who believe that is an honestly viable approach. You know how many women (single or married) I know who think that? ZERO. In fact, it's galvanizing us even stronger for Hillary. All of us have grown up with people telling us that it's our damn fault no matter what a man does, and we see right through Trump's campaign.

The few women I know who hate Hillary do so because of her corporate ties. But at this point, if Wikileaks hasn't leaked anything substantial, they probably don't have anything. It's too late to save Trump now - early voting has already begun. Assange has some crappy timing if he's gonna wait until the week of the election.

Well, Assange has to wait for the Russians to finish their doctoring...

Actually DJ is spot on. Now I don't know where you got your JD from or what states you are barred in...I, on the other hand, have a JD from Pitt Law and am licensed to practice in several states. I practice both criminal and civil law, and my scholarly work on criminal law has been published in academic journals. I can tell you, the fact is, this wouldn't even survive a motion for judgement on the pleadings. It would never even go to jury. Not even in a civil suit with a lower standard of proof. Her actions simply do not meet the legal elements of the statute needed to sustain a prosecution.

Why? For the exact reason you said: gross negligence is voluntary disregard for the standard of care. What is the standard of care? That is established by looking at the relevant community. Standard of care for heart surgery, for example, differs from standard of care for driving. One is a common activity so you would look to what any reasonably prudent person would do. The other is a specialized community so you would look into the norms and practices of that community to determine what a reasonably prudent heart surgeon would do.

Here, the relevant community is Secretaries of State in the digital era. Since every Sec State preceding Clinton who has used email (Albright, Powell and Rice) have admitted to this behavior it is the industry norm. By LEGAL DEFINITION the industry norm CANNOT be gross negligence.

And it's not as simple as saying "well her predecessors did it so prosecute them too!" There is no statute explicitly prohibiting this. The statute only prohibits gross negligence. Again, industry norm is never gross negligence. Ergo, no gross negligence.

Now by today's standard, in light of the outrage and adoption, by the State Department, of protocols designed to avoid this, it would NOW be gross negligence. But her standard of care in 2010 is not determined by today's standard of care.

Call Clinton reckless or careless, but legally she is not a criminal.

PS. I love that you cite to a congressional hearing as your source. A politically motivated congressman trying to grandstand is not exactly a neutral arbiter of law.

Sorry for the late reply.
Every Secretary of State admitted to the use of a private email.
What about Hillary taking it steps further, which wasn't the industry norm?
Is it not based on the current & previous standard in which her specific voluntary disregard for the standard of care, according to the FBI director's own declaration, gross negligence?
What about the fall-out post Benghazi-subpoena that ensnared her and her accomplices? Are those criminal acts?

Here you go

It is time someone got to the bottom of everything that people say about Hillary Clinton. Who is she? More importantly, WHAT is she? I have compiled the following timeline of her life by combining all the actual theories about her. When lined up together, they form quite a biography.

Before Time, Before the Earth Was Made, Before Matter and Being and History: Hillary Clinton (Lucifer, Beelzebub, Lord of the Flies, Prince of Darkness, Satan, She Whose Many Names the Cats Scream in the Night) is cast out of heaven for overweening hubris. She is condemned to lie in eternal torment in a lake of fire surrounded by her fallen angels, or, alternatively, to run for a major office while female. For thousands of years she lies outside time, smelling of sulfur, before deciding to undertake the second option.

Oct. 26, 1947: Hillary Clinton, a robot, is constructed by Saul Alinsky, then slipped into a bassinet and delivered to the Rodham house, where it stores its Six Human, Relatable Memories of squeegeeing, family life and honest toil.

Fall 1965: The young Hillary Clinton is replaced by a new model, this one with glasses. It retains only one of the memories, the squeegeeing. It attends Wellesley, where it decorates itself with spectacles and what conservative commentators will later describe as ONE VAST AND HIDEOUS EYEBROW LIKE A CATERPILLAR IN WHICH MANY WELSH MINERS COULD BE TRAPPED AND LOST AS IN A HORRID, THORNY FOREST.

Spring 1969: Hillary Clinton graduates from Wellesley, although first she gets in touch with Alinsky and his mentor, Satan. She fails to mention at the first meeting that she, too, is Satan, and then once they know each other it seems too awkward to bring it up. As a consequence, the Devil mentors Herself for many decades, wasting everyone’s time and effort. She also founds the Islamic State. She will toil for many years in secret on this passion project, keeping it even from Bill, whom she is about to meet. Once, during his presidency, he will ask, “Is there anything I should know about, Hills?” and she will shrug and say, “Nah.” A bit confusingly, she also begins to fight the Islamic State, which she will spend her entire adult life doing.

Fall 1969: At Yale Law School, Hillary meets Bill Clinton, who courts her by staring at her from across the room while their eyes speak the Old, Dead Language of the Darkness Beyond Worlds. She is also a lesbian, who, interestingly, does not let this dissuade her from pursuing numerous heterosexual affairs, for which, although frigid, she has an inexhaustible appetite. It is at this time that she acquires her witch powers (she is also a witch), although her familiar, the cat Socks, will not manifest until the Clinton administration, when she will use him to contact Eleanor Roosevelt.

1969 to present: Hillary accomplishes nothing. Every time she appears to have made progress on a project or contributed to an achievement of any kind, she carefully arranges things in such a way that no one will give her any credit, unless, of course, the thing is negative, in which case she will turn out to be solely responsible.

1975: Bill and Hillary wed. They possess a unique marriage in which both have full and perfect knowledge of the other party’s activities at all times.

1980: Bill Clinton loses the governorship. In consultation with the team of Illuminati, demons and robo-Hitlers who have been supervising Hillary Clinton’s progress thus far, her robotic shell is replaced with another, different one that does not wear glasses and is blonder. The people of Arkansas consider this an improvement, although they complain about its inability to bake.

1992: Bill Clinton is elected president. The era of general prosperity that follows only serves to confirm the fact that Hillary Clinton is the Antichrist (in addition to being a witch, a robot and Satan. Yes, ladies, you can have it all.)

1998: Bill Clinton is impeached. Hillary Clinton goes berserk, throwing lamps, cursing and setting small fires with her eyes. Everyone who wanders into a certain wing of the White House complains of a buzzing sound, like a thousand flies, and a persistent stench of sulfur that will not dissipate. The cat Socks disappears, and the shadowy form of a giant feline in an overcoat is seen stalking the streets near the Treasury before yowling and disappearing into the mist. Beavers attack the cherry blossom trees.

2000: Hillary Clinton is elected senator from New York. Unlike any other senator before or since, she is given a special Deciding Vote that allows her to pass any legislation she wishes (a fact Donald Trump will call attention to during the second debate). Oddly, she chooses never to exercise this power, except to force us into war with Iraq (necessary to support the Islamic State, her pet project). Any reforms or bills that you wanted that did not pass during her years in the Senate were her fault.

2001: Pictures show Rudy Giuliani standing next to Hillary Clinton at ground zero, but he insists years later that she was not there and that he never saw her. This is obviously witchcraft.

2008: Hillary Clinton and her friend invent the birther movement, which Donald Trump will spend the next eight years trying to quash. She loses the presidency to Fellow Antichrist Barack Obama after a secret game of rock/paper/scissors/thousand-razor-sharp-tentacles but is glad for the opportunity to become secretary of state and give her fledgling Islamic State a chance to soar. She has also been murdering people every year — just, like, constantly murdering them — but no one says anything about it since she is female.

2012: Hillary Clinton deliberately orchestrates even MORE murders and treasons this year, most prominently in Benghazi. This is also the year when she pens numerous smoking-gun emails, explaining her deep loathing for the American people, desire to ruin the country, complete incompetence in making deals, deathly illness, inability to get anything done, the fact that everything that has transpired in the United States in her lifetime has been the result of her ingenious and diabolical schemes, and how these statements are not contradictory. Unfortunately, she deletes these VERY carefully.

2013: Hillary Clinton vanishes into hibernation to meditate and shed her lizard-skin. (She is also a lizard-person, in addition to being a Nameless, Timeless Evil.) Just to add difficulty to her next run as president, she decides to cultivate several Very Serious Medical Ailments, including but not limited to at least eight strokes, dropsy and the King’s Evil. This is hard to pull off because she is a robot, but she is committed.

2015: Hillary Clinton resumes her quest for the presidency. First, though, she meets with an International Banking Conglomerate to solidify the plan for the New World Order.

2016: Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nomination by deliberately suppressing the votes of all Bernie Sanders supporters. Frankly, it is a miracle we even know there WERE such things as Sanders supporters. Also, she orchestrates the murder of Justice Antonin Scalia. She activates a spell cast on Donald Trump decades before at his wedding, which causes everything that comes out of his mouth to sound like the racist, sexist ramblings of a deranged conspiracy theorist. Trump tries valiantly to lay all her activities bare to the American people, but people cannot hear his truth through Hillary Clinton’s powerful cloud of witchcraft, which she uses to summon women everywhere whom he has wronged.

2017: Hillary Clinton takes office. Her first act is to replace the entire Supreme Court with a series of corporations cleverly disguised beneath large robes. She sheds her robot-witch exterior and resumes her beastly form, flying up over the White House, engulfing everything beneath in a deep shadow, and ending the American way of life as we know it.
Everyone was right about her all along.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said Republican rival Donald Trump's campaign means she is spending more time looking at cat GIFs. "Believe me, in the last few weeks, I have watched a lot of cats do a lot of weird and interesting things," she said.

I've apparently already read my limit of free article this month so, I can't read this. Can you help a guy out?

BTW I find that browser addons like NoScript deal with all soft paywalls, if you are on a tablet just turn off javascript. The only thing it doesn't get you past are hard paywalls like on the WSJ.

Oh my God! I wonder just how many would actually read this and say, "Seems legit."

Currently in the news, we're supposedly going to have a "China Missile Crisis" over North Korea according to a Goldman Sachs speech in 2013.
Reporters sure are taking their sweet time going through each and every part of HRC Paid Speeches Flags.

I'm seeing Yahoo headlining more damaging wikileak emails, or is this old news...

It would hurt her but Trump is out shining her in damage department.

I'm seeing Yahoo headlining more damaging wikileak emails, or is this old news...

Thing is, had the GOP nominated anyone except Trump these WikiLeaks email would probably be the death knell for Hillary. But instead, we are almost getting hourly reports of insanity from TrumpCo from sexual abuse allegations by multiple women to infighting with the GOP. And it doesn't show any signs of slowing down any time soon either.

You know, if Trump had just not been quite such an *******, he might have actually won.
