As long as WB offers him a big fat paycheck (and if TDK is a huge success, they will), and he wants to bring his vision of Two-Face to the big screen, then Nolan will be back.

enough said !!!!!!!:cwink: :cwink: :cwink:

Definately enjoyed the interview. As everyone else thinks, I'm fairly positive he'll be back too.

Speaking of “finishing,” is this film the last for you on the Batman franchise? It’s been a big part of your life for the last half decade.

NOLAN: [Laughs] That’s right! It’s really tough for me to ever talk about future projects. Films particularly of this scale are such mammoth propositions. I never thought that I would do a second “Batman” film. Let me put it that way. I had no thought of doing a second one when I was doing the first one, but obviously you never say, “Never.” Every film I’m working on, however, to me is generally the last film I’m ever going to make. That’s my approach to making film. It’s one of the reasons actually that I’m not comfortable putting footage out or early trailers because I’m engaged in making one thing at a time. I’m very single-minded and very focused on the task at hand and I do focus on just this movie. I really don’t have anything in my head about what’s next or doing another one or whatever.

This is why I appreciate Nolan. Focusing on the task at hand making this film the best movie it can be. Rather than getting distracted worrying about sequels or other projects.

Eh, it's WB we are dealing with. They are not the brightest bunch. I hope you are right though.

You don't have to be bright to like money. In fact, the less bright you are the more money you seem to want, and, upon getting it, spend unwisely.

I would love for that but I am not holding my breath. I have a feeling that the JLA film will have a dramatic effect on the landscape of DC superhero films which includes Singer/Routh Superman and Nolan/Bale Batman.

IGN: Are you concerned at all about the Justice League of America movie and of a new Batman being introduced to audiences while your franchise is still going?

Nolan:
Not really. To be perfectly honest, it's not really something I've thought about much. I really am just immersed in making this movie. Whatever will happen will happen, and we're just working very hard to make this movie the best it can be.

Sure some of these elements/characters COULD work... but that doesnt mean they would be any good.

Will say she [Harley] was in if she was? NOPE!

Oh dear God.

Nolan describes the Joker in his film as anarchy incarnate. If "Anarchy" were a dude, do you think he would have a fawking girlfriend? Heath's Joker may very well get his rape on, but he won't be dating, I assure you. Nolan will never ever evah go that route. Because it's fawking stupid, like that cartoon.

Why not? Some of the best parts of BATMAN BEGINS were the completely ridiculous elements Nolan utilized.

When I propose permanent white skin, I'm not proposing something like the way Nicholson looked. In context of the film, he had permanent white skin, but it still looked like makeup.

I'm talking skin that looks like real skin, but with no pigmentation whatsoever; an undead, almost translucent, look.

What I'm visualizing is downright eerie. Like a ghost.

Agreed. He pretty much said the same **** after BB. TDK will be bigger than BB, no doubt. And for the third film the production will get more money, Nolan will get more money, and we will do this dance all over again.

Plus with Falcone and Maroni out of the picture, we can a giant ****show between The Joker Gang and The Two-Face Gang.

Too good of an opportunity to pass up.

man i could just picture the potential for an epic battle between 2face and joker.. i hope they go head to head at least once in this movie..

u know i gotta admit, that sounds downright awsome.. wonder if somebody could draw a concept of that..

Their relationship was never depicted as two people dating. In fact, it was quite the opposite. The whole love aspect was strictly one-sided on Harley's side. Joker was just plain manipulative and decided to take Harley on for whatever amusement he has. He'll have no regrets being violent or ditching her altogether at a moment's notice.

So where exactly is this "dating", or even "boyfriend/girlfriend" thing coming from?

Good interview! I am just so damn happy Harley isn't going to touch this series...

Because, like it or not, a relationship is a relationship, even if it is an abusive one, and to have Harley in there would give them both a twisted, Honeymooners-vibe that would humanize the character.

And he's an absolute, remember?

As a teaser, can you tell us who the first and last characters to speak in the film are?

NOLAN: I’m trying to think if I can answer that…to be honest, the first person to speak is an unnamed character and the last person to speak…I don’t think I should say. I’ll be honest. I hope that doesn’t screw you completely.

What the f:huh:ck does that mean? Does this mean it will be a recognizable character? Two-Face? Selina Kyle? The Riddler?

...Ra's al Ghul?

Curious.

They're a lot brighter than say Fox. At least WB gives its directors a lot of room to work. Look at what happened with X-Men and FF. In fact, WB is the best studio for comic book movies.

However, WB does have many duds and I don't think it's right for them to develop JLA while Nolan is still working on Batman. I think Sony has done better job with Spiderman franchise, but they haven't done alot of superhero movies. Marvel is starting to make their own movies, and if IM and Hulk become good movies and BO hit, they will be a force to be reckon with.

Great interview

From the Joker pic, we can conclude that it takes place during the truck-flipy scene.

Nice find. I like that Nolan is just focusing on this film for now, but he always gets me worried when he refuses to acknowledge sequels. We all know he has a planned trilogy, so I really hope he gets to finish this entire story out before packing his bags. Don't pull a Singer on us, man. :o

Nolan will be back :word: especially seeing that he mentioned he was talking to Ledger before they even completed a script . . . I like how he's very reluctant to commit though . . .
