as for these collectors toys, until i se them from mattel, im not putting stock in somebodys hearsay.

Don't think it's that overpriced for being 14" tall not to mention regardless of you not liking Jim Lee's style...looks a lot better than the majority of crappy statues they put out. I think this is going to be the second one I buy. I don't get why they can't make more Batman statues(not dumb plastic kids toys) that actually look good.

Hell yeah! Those guys know how to sculpt action figures & make them look badass. They would probably have to make the figures bigger though if they were to do the Batman movie one. Have they ever sculpt action figures the same size as the BB & Superman Returns one? I only know their work on the 2002 He-Man, the DC Superheroes lines from Mattel, & I think that it.

Umm YEAH. They've worked on The Batman and JL/JLU. But isn't the idea that these new ones will be more like DC Superheroes?

The figure looks lame but the Batpod looks sweet as hell. Hooray for RC!

I dont like the Blue on Batman.
It could at least be more Grey or Black, like the actual suit in the Film.

It's a prototype, so let's hope they are going to change it.
A change in the color scheme, making it more like it is in the actual movie isn't something really hard to do...

But knowing how Mattel sucks, I don't expect much from them.

He's purple, at least the one I have. Regardless, I still really loved the Spider-Man 3 extended line. Kraven, Lizard, Scorpion, I got em all, like a nerd.

All that's missing from that line is my namesake.

Images of next year's Hasbro Iron Man movie figures have been released; they are in 6" scale and look terrific. Mattel has also just released images of their DCUC series, lines 1-3, and they also look great.

So what we see is good movie action figures can be made (at least by Hasbro, seemingly).
We also see Mattel (who will have TDK license) can make good figures with their DCUC line.

The chances look promising that TDK will have a great line of figures, but these initial images are disappointing. I know the lines are probably already sculpted but I think I'll try to e-mail Mattel and plead with them to move back to the 6" scale and site the above two examples as to why they really have no excuse to blow this.

All of his early figures were purple. Not a subtle purple either.
In the film he was a deep Black.

and The Tumbler... I painted it blackand clear coated it and it is really dirty...

You know Mattel actually released a Tumbler variant that was actually black (not purple), right? Back in '05, I looked all over the place to find mine.

The new Mattel DCUC figures are showing up at comic shops and certain toy stores right now. The classic Batman looks very well made, from what I can tell from online pics. A local comic shop already sold out apparently so I'll just have to wait for TRU or Target to catch up.

A Neal Adams looking Batman would be great to have for Christmas, and so would some TDK figure pics.

Ah well.
