not sure if this was answered here but saw Tdk again and noticed that during the sequence where bats dismantles the fake batmen, he's bitten by the chechens dog on his right side.. then he's shown getting stitched up on the left arm (triceps area), did anyone else notice this or am i delusional?

You see the blood in his left elbow as he gets up and waits for Scarecrow's van to show up below.

If Joker gets Dent to kill him, that would succeed in corrupting Harvey and ultimately send two-face over the edge.

Why did the Joker have Dent put the gun to his head?

Probably to show the viewer that the Joker puts his money where his mouth is: he is perfectly happy to accept the consequences of chaos whatever they are.

It also demonstrates that if Dent is willing to let him live because the coin said so then he is truly lost to Two Face.

Maybe also deep inside the Joker hates himself so he hates the world and that's why he wants to watch it burn. Maybe deep inside the Joker wants to die. And the cherry on top of the proverbial cake would be if it was at the hand of these "heroes".

I don't think he is suicidal but an extreme martyr and if getting himself killed helps his cause then so be it.

Yeah, for sure death doesn't scare him at all, just another high/experience probably for him.

And if we go with the supernatural/devil angle, he truly just wants to corrupt everyone around him, bring them to his level, like you said.

I have a question.

When Joker realizes the ferry boats aren't going to blow each other up, he looks at a clock on the wall. Do you think the clock was already there, or that Joker brought it with him for the occasion? It was a rundown building, I don't think it would've been there before.

Joker doesn't strike me as a person who carries a watch so i bet he brought it.

Also, the moment when Bats spins and tosses the dog, the dog has a firm grip on his left arm (right when he throws him) Just about the exact spot where he gets stitched up.

He had a watch in the bank robbery. He looked at it right before he said "No no no, I kill the bus driver".
to fool the other bank robbers...they knew that Joker doesn't wear watches so naturally they wouldn't suspect a man wearing a watch.

It didn't strike me as a run-down building, just a building under construction. (Which it was in real life anyway, LOL.) Nobody would let a skyscraper like that get run-down. :cwink:

There were some tools next to that clock, so it's natural that it would have been a building undergoing construction.

Yea I think the clock was already there. Its a building site, there will always be a clock there. We all know how much builders like their breaks ;) I should know, I'm one of em!! hahahahaha

Some questions:

How exactly does Batman tie all the police up at the end. I've seen it twice but can't work it out.

Was Batman in on Gordon's plan to his fake death or not?

He uses his crazy ninja skills to tie em up!! Don't need a better explanation then that!! Well I don't anyway!!

I don't think Batman was in on Gordons plan, but at this point I don't think we can prove it either way.

It's not a huge thing, but at the end scene with the ferries, I find it strange that Joker reads the instructions from a piece of paper. You see on the window reflection, anyone notice?

Yea I noticed that as well. Maybe he thought it was too important a speech to risk screwing it up!?! :D

I think it had something to do with that scene where he had Engel reading his statement to Gotham. Remember how he was repeating Engel's words as he read them? Maybe Mr. J was trying to sound all professional as he read the speech. :hehe:
