I just think it's such a perfect analogy to Gotham and Batman's war on crime. Things are so bad and hopes that there is a firetruck on fire.
:wow:

I remember when I first saw the ComiCon footage and I saw that shot. It was, up until the day of release, the shot that excited me most. It's amazing that even in that one split second shot, the filmmakers were able to do something that is "very Joker" :hoboj:

This isn't really a question I need an answer to but more or less just wanting to see what everyone's opinion on this was.

Did anyone else find it funny in the club scene how Maroni has this little smile to his face and a slight, almost non existant head bob to the music?

Since I first saw the film that scene always cracked me up. For some reason I just never would have figured techno(or whatever it was) would have been liked by a older mob guy like Maroni, but there he is with a look on his face like he's content with the world.

I know it's something small and wierd but I always get a chuckle out of it.

Can somebody explain to me why during the armored car chase, the SWAT member driving the truck, never talks. Is he working for the Joker or something?

Good one :funny:

In the finale I always found it weird that Gordon and Batman never even bother to check Dent's pulse to see if he's still alive. Batman survives but they immediately begin talking about him dying making the city lose hope. I've read stories of people falling 4+ stories and surviving. Did them not checking him make it seem like they wanted to possibly leave his fate open? (That's what I got when I first saw the film, even though I found out after seeing the script and article that Two-Face is dead) Them just standing there talking about him always kind of bugged me I think :funny:

My impression is, while Harvey is assumed to be dead, they don't actually flat out say it just in case down the line someone wanted to bring him back.

How does one get a thumb print onto a bullet while loading it?....did he move the casing...put it back and then fired it?

and if so...isnt that a tad suspicious?

I wanna bring him back. does that count?

So do you think nolan just had no choice but to kill harvey cause of the story, or that he just didn't care whether or not he died?

I think this can all be attributed to Eric Roberts not being a very good actor. :oldrazz:

If the shooter was loading bullets into the clip without wearing a glove or something, then he could leave a fingerprint on it.

A better question is, how did Joker know Batman would be able to get a fingerprint and identify where the apartment was? I guess he just plans for everything.

I think she's talking about how bullets are inside of casings when they are loaded. When they are fired the casing pops out of the side of the gun, and how a fingerprint could be on the bullet when being loaded into a clip.

I don't think Joker intended to set up a "trap" for Batman, or anyone else. I thought it was all chance and that the window opening would have had the same result with the police firing at it and giving them there chance to shoot the mayor.

What really makes me wonder is how the timer for the window was perfectly set so that the goons would be doing the "Honor, guard!..." :oldrazz: (Actually it seemed more like that window flying open was simply their cue to wreak havoc) What about the fact that with Melvin White's fingerprint being on the bullet, how in God's name did he just so happen to have an apartment in his name directly above where the Mayor would be the next day? Joker plans faarrr too ahead.

I want to know why Bruce was touching everything in that apartment with his bare hands.
Did he forget everything about fingerprints that he just was researching? Or as Batman likes to say, "Fingahpraaaaaaaaaaaaanz."

He's the ***damn Batman that's why.

:lmao:

I'm surprised Gordon didn't say "Wha?"

Batman: "Fingahpraaaaaaaaaaaaanz."

Gordon: "What?"

Batman: "Fingahpraaaaaaaaaaaaanz."

Gordon: K you know what, I really can't understand what you just said to me.

Haha, whenever Batman said "I'm not wearing hockey paaaaaaaaaaads." For the first--I don't know--three times I saw it I thought he was saying "I'm not wearing hockey pants." And I wondered to myself, "What the hell are hockey pants?!"

I think the Joker knew that the Commissioner's funeral/memorial service was going to be held there. Probably it's a tradition to have a police parade down that route when a public figure dies. I bet he gave Melvin White the money to buy that apartment ahead of time. The apartment was pretty empty, right? It was probably recently purchased and downtown apartments seem like they'd be expensive. I doubt a goon would be able to afford it without the Joker's help.

Question;

Sure this has been asked before, but did Batman know about the plan for Gordon to fake his own death? I ask cause during the scene where the two cops go to Gordon's house to give his wife the news, she screams out to Batman that it was his fault, as he sat crouched in the shadows and he looked saddened, plus he took out his supposed grief on Maroni and his men at the club.........
