Everything was so distant from cartoony it's incredible. I'd say this had more flesh than the comic books themselves, or most of them.

And yes, the Joker in this movie is a terrorist, driven by his own personal cause: chaos.
That's why I like it. I don't want silly, TV Batman. I want the real deal. I want to think that this could happen in real life. I wouldn't enjoy it as much of it was any other way. :)

When watching the movie, I could see how other ppl might find Bale's voice amusing. However, the growl sat well with me - I'm not complaining.

Loved heath's/joker's gait when he's leaving the hospital...that did it for me right there!

p.s. how cool are those "why so serious?" posters! i want one!

I won't be watching this one in theaters. I almost fell asleep during BB and I won't be fooled again.

That was hilarious, :p I couldn't stop laughing. :D Heath was so perfect for this role in so many ways....

10/10

My number one movie of the summer, with Iron Man a close second.

And yes, Nurse Joker = 3p1c lulz

That was hilarious, :p I couldn't stop laughing. :D Heath was so perfect for this role in so many ways....

That walk just summed up his eccentricity...which proves to me how brilliant heath's portrayal was...he completely embodied the character...

Yes, the walk and the way he says hi to Dent when dressed as a nurse are awesome! I loved it!

All the little nuances he put into his performance...licking his lips often, etc...really made this character come to life.

Loved that scene...got a lot of laughs from the audience.

You just have to say, this movie is awesome. I thought Spidey 2 were the best comic movie, but this one is just incredible.

you have to see it to believe it...

Forget ledger being nominated, I think the movie itself could be nominated. I think Heath has a chance to win. While I don't think the movie does, I seriously could see it being atleast nominated. That was one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. It was art. It was great writing, great acting, but still it was a blockbuster type movie with lots of explosions and great action. This movie had everything.

I vote for a 9.

It definitely improved were Batman Begins had it's little problems, like the fight sequences, and more intelligent portrayals. I missed Katie Holmes in some scenes though, but that's only minor.

It wasn't perfect, although everything I wanted to see in the movie I saw. The Joker was brilliant, Batman was great. All in all, a spectacular movie, I would recommend seeing it in theatres. A little long, but worth it, I also recommend going to the bathroom before seeing this movie.

I had so much to say in my review that it took 2 days to edit and finalize the thing :wow: you know a movie is good when it makes you ramble on and on about it :woot:

^Funny you say that cause i didn't see Maggie pull off any better acting than what Katie Holmes did in BB. It would have been nice to have Katie back just to keep the continuity with the character. And for those of us that thought Holmes was a weak link in BB, it would have been nice to see her die...! :D

The movie opens next friday here in Finland so I've been avoiding these boards like a plague.

I only have two questions

1) The white lenses. Hot or not? Do they look cool?

2) Are there any actual bats in the movie? Well, I guess there's no actual bats...but are there any CGI bats like in Begins?

1) the lense look o.k, and serve their purpose

2) no bats

I actually bought Maggie Gylenhaal but couldn't with Katie Holmes which is funny since Holmes had the meatier role and Gylenhaal was just a plot device. Both were the weakest links but I felt Gylenhaal put a little more effort into selling the role and actually made me feel something for Rachel Dawes compared to Holmes.

Third!!! Bales growl is awesome in TDK. Everyone may have their own opinion about the growl, but most of you are missing the point. Batman is a freaking urban legend, a boogeyman to criminals. He's a monster, not the cool clint eastwood type. I for one love Bales take on Batman/Bruce Wayne. Oh and TDK kicked all sorts of ass. It didnt even feel like a comic book movie. The movie kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. But does anyone else feel somewhat depressed and sad after the movie. I've never had that type a feeling for a movie but have an appreciation and love for the movie. And on a side note the hype surrounding Ledger's performance is true. I felt guilty for laughing at most of his jokes. But the one who really stood out was Gary Oldman.

Gary Oldman is awesome in just about everything he does. Check him out in 'Murder in the First'. He's really sadistic.

Anyhow, i feel depressed too...that i don't own this thing on dvd today!
