One thing I really loved was this was the first time I've ever believed the Joker could be an actual threat to Batman in a fight. I've never, ever bought that before, but they made it absolutely belivable.

Totally agree. Great job of creating a credible, truly horrific villain to play opposite the bad*** Bale. I think, not only physically and with regard to his stunts, Heath's Joker also resonated with Batman psychologically...made him question his own morality and the boundaries he's set/believes in. Great material.

Care to elaborate why you don't like the movie?

ive never been a huge batman fan for starters. i don't like the look of the new batsuit and bales deep batman voice. i wasn't overly impressed with the jokers appearance. i feel the movie was too long for my tastes. i did like two face, even though he should of had more screentime. i just don't see what all of the hype was about. i feel this movie had a huge opening becuase of ledger dying and i fully expected that. it wasnt a horrible movie, but not one of my favorite superhero flicks so far this summer.

Man I dont even know if I should say ledger or joker? This guy could win an oscar. This movie is a Master piece! I GAVE 9,5/10

One thing I didn't know, I Thought they would kill joker because of ledger death? I have nothing to say about the movie only that they could have done a little fight with Batman vs Michael Jay white but that's OK. Also I would have like they annouce the next Villain like they did for joker in BB. I hope it's Penguin!:dew:

Oh hell yeah, a fight between Batman and 'Gambol would have rocked. Too bad Joker offed him...or did he?

This movie was even sweeter during round two :woot:

I was 7 years old when I saw Superman at the cinema, I didnt think Chris Reeve would ever be surpassed as the greatest comic book movie hero of all time, but I'm wrong I have just witnessed THE greatest comic book movie, if not action movie of all time.........10 outta 10, 5 stars or 100%, thanks Chris Nolan & cast.

They should have gave an homage to ledger before the movie begins. Some in the crowd don't even know the guy is dead.:csad:

Unfortunately, I have to give the movie a 9.8 out of 10, and the only reason I say that is because IMO, and I REALLY hate to say this, I feel that Bale's voice as Batman seemed a bit too forced. Even more so than BB. Everything else was flawless, however I will have to say that I was little confused by the ending. I guess because I was just so caught up in the movie that I just did not analyze the movie.
With him just running off with the cops chasing him,
I guess just confused me a little. If someone would like to shed some light on that, I would greatly appreciate it, unless you all think it would be a good idea to see it again to grasp the movie's plot a little more. One thing that does kind of bother me a little, but not a lot, is
what happened to Joker? Did he simply go to jail?
I also think that Two-Face is not dead, however I think that Dent is dead.
Does that make sense? I just hope in the sequel they tell what happened to Joker.

You don't have to defend giving the movie a 9.8 and I agree with your opinion on Bale's voice in this movie. In scenes like the interrogation it was great but in the finale he was choking himself.

Batman was running away because he told Gordon to place the blame on all of Dent's killings on Batman, preserving Harvey's "White Knight" image. Batman had to run away to make it seem that Gordon was pursuing him, rather than assisting him, and Gordons final speech is about how by doing this Batman is more than just a hero: he is Gotham's Dark Knight.

We assume Joker got picked up by the police and taken to jail (where he will inevitably escape again).

Many people feel the same as you about Two-Face and I believe it is a possiblity that he is not dead.

Just got from seeing tdk for the first time. About time.

I LOVED this movie. This is the best superhero film they have made yet, actually its one of the best films ever made. And heath ledger as the joker may be the greatest performance from a male actor that I`ve ever seen...that was scary anyway. Only jack in "The Shining" and that guy alex from "A Clockwork orange" and brandon lee could rival such a monumental display of scary talent. He was very funny, but very crazed, and demented. His magic trick scene was soooooo funny lmao but the scene when he desrcibes what his dad did to him, and when he was on the news talking into the camera for the first time....TERRIFYING, just scary sh*** lol
when hes like "LOOK AT ME!!!" in that deep voice, i think i sh** a brick lol

He is so extraodinary as the joker that no description of his performance could really do it justice. It has to be seen. its interesting how he does evil...for evils sake only. No motive, no love of money. He just does it all for a laugh. Am so sad that such a jaw dropping talent is gone. His take on the joker was mind blowing and he satifed me fully, and everyone else did great to, everyone was on their A-game so to speak. Two face looked amazeing as well, cool stuff. I couldnt stop looking at his teeth on that burned face....

anyway the trailers were fantastic to.
*cough*watchmen best trailer*cough*

It was the fastest 2 and a half hours ever. An instant classic, and i cant wait to see it again.

10/10
"Some men want to watch the world burn."

I liked TDK but right now I need to see it again for my final conclusion.
I felt like there was a bit too much plot squeezed in. The movie probably should have been 3 hours long as some scenes felt ridiculously rushed. I thought the whole Hong Kong part was pointless.
And not everyone even noticed the chinese guy was burned alive at the top of Jokers Cash mound. There was just so much going on all around I had to pay really close attention 24/7.
Still liked it though but I guess a little overwhelmed by all the wham bam The Departed style scenes.

This movie actually gets better with more viewings. I saw it a second time and it blew me away even more. I also felt the pacing was a little too fast initially, especially in the beginning, but when I was watching it the second time, I felt the pacing was perfect.

It's hard to miss Lau sitting on top of the money. Joker even threw a stack of cash that hit him in the head.

If you're not a huge batman fan why do you care what the batsuit or the joker look like? Your only real complaint was it was longer than you would have liked. This post fails on so many levels.

Who the hell has ever played Batman better than Bale??

and 99.8% of the people on here would disagree with your comments on Harvey and Joker

Bale was good as Wayne/Batman. Although I don't like the snobby stuck up Wayne portrayal used to throw people off.

Keaton was the best Wayne/Batman. I like the charismatic, charming, and dapper Wayne, instead of Bale's

Jack Nicholson's Joker is Classic and the best in his own right.

Heath's Joker is in a class of his own and is the best in his own right. It all depends on the theme of the film.

Batman 89 was a comic book movie come to life on the big screen with a sense of darkness.

TDK 08 is a suspense dark-action thriller movie, that just so happens to be based on a comic book series.

At least that is my opinion of it.

9/10 Just cause Bales bat voice pissed me off.

I loved how Rachel died and it wasn't the typical Hero stereotype where Batman gets there just in time and saves her. I also loved how the Joker showed Batman that anyone can turn evil if you push the right buttons(in this case killing rachel)

Your probably right. I'm looking forward to seeing it again.
There were so many amazing scenes.
I loved
-the scene where Bruce is captivated by Dents speech at the restaurant.
-the build up to Joker crashing the party.Joker kicking Batman.

Did anyone else laugh hard when Batman put the chair against the cell wall? For some reason it looked so funny to me. Maybe it was his big head.
:woot:

I just came back from TDK.
and....holy....****ing....****
it's the best movie I have ever seen. and it takes a lot for me to conquer this spot. better than Gladiator and The Pursuit of Happyness.
bye-bye SM2, we have a new best comic-book movie.
it's extremely intelligent and 100% well-written. all the actors gave outstanding performances. specially Heath. he literally brought a smile to my face everytime he was on scene. the film's only flaw is that it's SO good, that it'll be hard to make a Batman movie that is better.
10/10 isn't fair for this film. I happily give it a 11/10.

Im not a massive fan of batman 89, i think batman returns is superior to it in everyway, but Keaton makes it for me, he plays a very offbeat bruce wayne, not the way wayne is SUPPOSED to be, but he's burtons bruce wayne, just like burtons batfilms arent supposed to be the way batman is supposed to be, but burtons version of things.

Bale and nolan? thats the way the character is supposed to be, or close to it, the only thing closer to the comics is TAS.

oh btw bales snobby wayne? its pure win.
