I have to give this movie a 10/10...I just can't help it. I really didn't have anything to complain about, it met my expectations, left me wanting more, but at the same time...left me satisfied. It had everything I wanted to see and more. I know everyone is saying this and it sounds over the top...but, what can I say. It was an epic movie, and Im not about to start nit picking at little things...

I loved it. and Can't wait to see it my 8th time lol...because I can't get enough.

PS:

Love your sig The Gaurd.

And if I'm right
The future's looking bright
A symbol in the skies at night

where is it from?

It's one of Harvey Dent's lyrics from my version of BATMAN: THE MUSICAL, from the song "The War on Crime".

That's how I feel, I ended up wanting more each I see it, Today it was my 8th time too.

I saw it again last night (Thursday, August 7th), in IMAX, at the Bridgeport Theaters in Tigard, OR, at 7:00 p.m. -- and the theater was at least 75-80 percent full. I couldn't believe it -- the film's been out 3 weeks, and a bunch of people were still willing to shell out $13 apiece to see it. (And there was applause at the end as well, and appreciative laughter in all the right spots.)

I'm hoping like hell it's still #1 this weekend!

Which scenes are in IMAX format?

I know about prologue, chase with batpod and Hong Kong.

If you think that's good, I'm in Australia and just saw my first IMAX viewing of TDK (fourth viewing overall). 3pm and 6pm sessions were completely sold out by 12 and we've had the film since July 16. It's selling really well in Australia, especially considering IMAX tickets here cost $25 (approx $23 US).

Amazing news, dude -- thanks for the report!

pretty much every major action scene and any time they had an eagle eye view of the city. i know Batman's fight in Hong Kong wasn't (the actual fight in the building), and stuff like Loeb's funeral, the boat stand-off (excluding the SWAT attack), Joker's interrogation, and Harvey's ending were in standard.

I'm going to see this film for a second time this weekend. I need to see it lots for the whole thing to fully sink in. It may be the the case that after multiple viewings I rate it highter than my initial score of 8.5.

One thing that stands out in my mind after only one screening is the quality of the perormances. Bale, Ledger, Oldman and Eckhart all portray truly believable characters. Eckhart is especially good, and I did not even see Ledger on screen just the Joker.

They were all very good and after thinking about it.....Oldman is just great in this film as well.

Prologue, Hong Kong aerial and skyscraper scenes with Batman gliding, the Tumbler/BatPod street scenes against the Joker and semi I think.

No worries. It actually surprised me because I didn't think it would still be selling that well. The girl at the counter said it's been selling out pretty regularly, even in the middle of the day during the week.

I have to wonder just how soft the taxicabs in Gotham City are when 2 people can fall off a 50 story building and survive provided that one of those taxis is there to break their fall. Also, for a guy who claims to have no plans, the Joker sure plans alot. Tons of other plot holes that I won't get into but I thought this movie was ok. I do prefer Batman Begins over-all(as far as Batman movies go that is).

Don't put so much stock in characters dialogue. Some people lie, and some people just don't know the truth. We, the audience are omniscient. The characters are not. It's sort of the lesson of the Star Wars films. When you learn that the Star Wars saga is actually a story being told to someone by Artoo - Detoo one hundred years after Return of the Jedi, you realize that that the droid had to fill in some blanks somehow. You'll notice that R2 is painted as a hero throughout the saga. That's not an accident. That's an unreliable narrator.

A little off topic, sorry. But the Joker was trying to push Dent down to his and Batman's level. He'll say anything to make that happen, so he will have an "ace in the hole."

In regards to favourite scenes, here's mine; when Batman first uses the mobile technology to see the Joker's lair. It's almost mythic; the hero finally has the advantage as he can see what nobody else can, sight beyond sight if you like, which allows him to defeat the villain.

take that bryan singer. :indy:
nolan made an inteligent movie with awsome pacing and awsome editing. and an dark villain.

whats pathetic IMO is that the joker is supposed to be funny and lauhg. but at the end of the day jokers plans were more inteligent then lex luthors. at eh end of the day joker was more dark then lex luthor. at the end of the day joker was a more serious villain then LL in SR.

ohhh and bryain. you think that destruction in a movie is not so good for kids. there was some sadistic scenes in TDK and kids love it. ohhh no grandparents are watching TDK and thats why it made 700 milions worldwide. :o

My favourite scenes were every single scene with the Joker. Everyone I know that has seen the film loves it because of Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker as do I. Now I am not bashing on the film but you gotta see this from a non-comic book reader/general movie goer point of view that it is the Joker is what made this film so great, people just talk about Ledger not really the film itself apart from it is dark. I recently finished a work experience project and the guy at the place where I did my work experience was talking to me about the film and he was saying how it was Heath Ledger that made the film so great and that it was a shame he died. He also said that the film itself is okay but the Joker is just wow, he said he was waiting for the Joker to come on screen as he found other parts of the film boring?

Anyway, I am not bashing. Just adding in some minor reviews and thoughts. I personally really enjoyed the film.

:yay:

I asked this in the PlotHole thread, but no one answered. (sorry if it has been asked before.)

How did Batman know where to go to look for Harvey? Joker only said he'd let Harvey go.

I assumed the same way he found the Joker's location. Who knows.
