Any Body Who is In Philly Listen Up. I will be going to the midnight showing at the King Of Prussia IMAX(where they held the first six minutes). Im Only 14 so I cant really plan anything. But whoever is interested in starting something PM me!

WEST NYACK - Batman fans eager to catch “The Dark Knight” in IMAX are going to have plenty of chances at the only local theater showing the film in that format.


Beginning at 12:01 a.m. July 18, the IMAX Theater Palisades Center in West Nyack will be showing the sequel to 2005’s “Batman Begins” for 72 hours straight. That’s all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.


Directed by Christopher Nolan (“Memento”), the film once again follows Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) as the Caped Crusader who must deal with new threats in the form of the mysterious Joker (Heath Ledger, in his last full performance) and new District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) who becomes Two-Face.


Nolan shot several scenes for the film specifically in the IMAX format so, while watching the movie, select action scenes will blow up to six stories tall to truly draw the audience into the action.


Sixteen-dollar tickets for all shows are currently on sale at www. imax. com/palisades.


The midnight show, which is sure to sell out fast, is $10 more but the Web site promises “A ‘First Night’ Surprise Promotional Package” to go along with the film.


“The Dark Knight” is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and some menace and reportedly runs 150 minutes

I just ordered my 2 Midnight ticketts for that exact theater... So I will be there...

I'm driving down 2 hours(I'm in Albany) just to see this... Never done anything like this in my life. But there just was no other way to see this film, other than at midnight in IMAX...

So I just found out from my cousin who is a GM at Hoyts that The Dark Knight opening date has been pushed forward from the 17th to the 16th of July in Australia! Yay for me.

So in thinking how would you guys gauge your excitement level out of 10 and are any of your local cinema's holding any special events?

In Melbourne they are screening BB/TDK back to back in a lot of places. Word is that IMAX Melbourne will screen BB/TDK back to bcak on the big screen!
They are also screening BB this Sunday and Tuesay on the IMAX screen.

Well I'm in Orlando, FL and I'm pretty sure there will be midnight showings on our release day (July 18) at every major theater in the area, including our IMAX theater in Pointe Orlando.

My excitement level is at a 10 right now. This is the movie I have been waiting for for 3 years. Hopefully it will quench my thirst.

The other movie I waited for was Indiana Jones and it was the biggest movie letdown for me. So far, Iron Man is my favorite film of the summer and I would give that a B.
