The Dark Knight The Dark Knight's Rogues Gallery

I'd be more interested in peoples ideas for other characters like Freeze, Ivy, Croc and Mad Hatter. Something beyond just stating the basic premise of the character...which is what usually happens in threads about new screen villains.

Did you read my fanart thing about freeze?

Batman has the best rogues imaginable in comics. I think whats so great about them is there mentality toruted. Plus in some aspects Batman could easily turn into one of them, he rides such a close line between sanity and insanity. It really makes you ask your self how can he battle them for so long with out turning into one or even killing one of them.

Also I also wanted to see some one tackle the issue of arckham and its revoling door, we really never get a chance to see what Batman thinks on this.

I thought you had some really great ideas for them, I really liked what you came up with for Clayface....just creepy as hell. Have you thought of writing a story with those ideas?

Thank you, right now I am working on a real short story so I can start applying the ideas. I am aiming for different tones, Clay face is a horror aspect of the Batman where as Riddler is intelligent naturally. But right now I am working on one called Crane Journal 1 I wrote most of it already I just have to draw it, hopefully people would enjoy it enough for me to make more

Arkham Asylum is the only time the Mad Hatter has ever been half interesting. Or have I missed something? The fascination with fairytales and childhood actually begins to make sense with his MO.

Hatter was fairly interesting in Haunted Knight.

Cool, when your done with them send them my way. I would really love to take a look at what you've done with it.

Joker will be a crazy mother****er who enjoys to look like a clown. And will do whatever he has to do to look like a clown. Until him and Batman have their final confertation. When the man goes from being normal clown to a permanent clown...

Two-Face will be more psychology then any villain in these movies his character is so dark. Nolan will touch his character more in Batman 3. So for now we'll see Harvery trying to hide his secrets until the end when his dark side takes over.

And in the end there will not just be a new villain created at the end of The Dark Knight but two, Two-Face and permanent Joker. (Hopefully)

^Don't you mean Two-Face and the REAL Joker: Anthony Michael Hall.:ninja:

Just Kidding.

Nepenthes, I've got ideas about Freeze and Croc.

Freeze would be an enforcer type that used ice-powered weaponry. His motive would still be to find a cure for Nora, but his methods for finding the funding would be slighly different

Killer Croc could just be done like Grundy was in TLH/DV.

Batman has the best rogues imaginable in comics.

If anyone wants to doubt this claim, go to the Spider-Man forum and look at the fruity manips of the Sinister Six before speaking.

Oh I know, honestly I think Batman has the best villains. They add soo much to the stories. Also Hole I agree with you, ugh... I think most of the spiderman characters need to be redrawn but thats just me.

you see i have to agree with, i do feel that this uber realistic approach does basically remove a lot of classic villains from ever making an appearance. apart from maybe riddler, harley and penguin i cant see any fitting into reality, for to take away there gimmick as it were would remove who they are. you could agree this has happened to a degree with the joker but that's not up for discussion here

Well I think you could rework their fantastic elements to ground them as much as possible. But you are right I think the fantasy element should be kept.

He was aight in the long halloween.

Poison Ivy will use rufies in Nolan's series.

you got a link to back up that claim

That the Sinister Six is fruity? No, that's my personal opinion that they look like the Village People from Hell.

I'm not typing out the link for the manips just go to the Spidey board here, that's where I'm talking about.

i was talking more about the manips, but come on to call the sinister six fruity cause of there is a bit much look when the characters were designed you could say the same about the many incarnations of the injustice league in dc hell even batman's villains cast of villains arn't exactly of the most straightest costume designs, or it can depend entirely on the artist.

but again like you said its just your opinion :)

Spider-man only has three good villains: Venom, Green Goblin, and Kingpin. The rest are lame.

After seeing Sin City, i thought that Mickey Rourke would make a great killer croc. I hope they make Arkham Asylum some day, or maybe after the "epic" Nolan's take, a more claustrophobic, Arkham-set adventure. Like the game of death or something, with detective work of course.

I think AA wouldn't be widely well received. I mean to some people they might like it,but it has such a small demographic.
Anyway did anyone read my crappy comic and take on scarecrow and twoface hahah this is probably the best forum to talk about that

Yeah, you're probably right but i think that maybe a more accessible action-oriented version would be a viable option for the big screen. Batman trapped in Arkham, die-hard style.
I like your comic, you have a very unique style. But my favourite is still that great creepy Joker you draw.

Saw it, liked it. I just don't get why they'd let Crane back into their payroll after he effectively joined the people he was evaluating, got out, and started up a life of crime. But then, your probably going off your own universe, not Nolan's.

But hey, still love it, very well done.

I think it would be a better underground film, perhaps cultish? no not that far but would be cool in my eyes.

haha, if I could keep drawing that Joker constantly then I would have no problem. THank you gwyn

Thank you very very much, I appreciate it so much. But ya I was actually going to have Scarecrow to be one of the later villains to arise so he could experiment on most of the villains and hence when he is fired for some unsavory practices the guys he experimented with are umm free
