Cartoon Network provided the following description of the series, as seen below.

Young Justice - In Young Justice, being a teenager means proving yourself over and over—to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and, ultimately, to yourself. But what if you’re not just a normal teenager? What if you’re a teenage super hero? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you’re worthy of the Justice League? That’s exactly what the members of Young Justice — Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis—will find out, whether they have what it takes to be a proven hero. This all-new series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and based upon characters from DC Comics.

Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is the executive producer. Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman Doomsday, The Batman) and Greg Weisman (Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, W.I.T.C.H.) are the producers.

More details on the new animated series are slated to be announced shortly, along with new images and content. Additionally, continue to toonzone News for details on other new projects announced during the Cartoon Network 2010 Upfronts.

Interesting, I will check this out.

Aqualad is black and there is no Donna Troy? huh

Glad to see Greg Weisman is producing this. After getting screwed over by Marvel and Disney, I hope this new series is successful and DC can appreciate his talents.

Is that supposed to be Wally? The eyes look green.

Interesting choice with the goggles and armor-esque costume.

It's probably supposed to be Bart. He was the speedster for Young Justice, after all.

So they are giving Bart green eyes?

It would be nice to have Bart and not amalgam Kid Flash.

Since when is asking a question *****ing?

Maybe you should stop making so many assumptions it makes you come across like an ***

Could just be Garth, magically turned black by the power of DC demanding more diversity in its adaptation.

Reckon so.

Anyway love the look of this. Would've preferred a different black character instead of racelift but I'll live, as long as he's a good character. Miss Martian and Tim Drake both look adorable, I'm really, really hoping Tim is his geeky self, he's had a pretty poor history in animation and I'm hoping he doesn't get combined with Jason Todd.

I'll keep an eye out for it, but I'd rather see a solo series for Flash or Green Lantern.

Can't wait to see this.Good to see Superboy on TV finally and I like the design.

Weisman speaks!

Young Justice

Wow. This has been a big couple of weeks ANNOUNCEMENT-wise.
As some of you doubtless already know, YOUNG JUSTICE was announced today by Cartoon Network.

Here's the official press release info (with slightly better proofreading from me):
"Young Justice: In Young Justice, being a teenager means proving yourself over and over—to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and, ultimately, to yourself. But what if you're not just a normal teenager? What if you're a teenage super hero? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you're worthy of the Justice League? We're hard at work on the 26-episode first season. Got a great writing staff in place, and the designs look phenomenal. I really think the series will kick some major ass!
And that's about all I'm allowed to say right now...
