The Dead and Civil War

Where's Magneto during all of this???
Oh yeah...Bendis killed him:cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:
I think he would have been against the Registration act.

I am certain this Captain Marvel is a clone.....I just wonder how long it will be until its revealed.

I think you're the only one that actually believes that Magneto is dead.:o

Wasn't Alpha Flight Supposed to be involved in this? The Whose SideAre You On Poster clearly showed Guardian and Puck...and someone who might have kinda been Sasquatch

Yes we will, hopefully he isnt from the past, cause if he is it is inevitable that he will die from cancer, again, kinda.

So Nova is getting his own ongoing, and he will keep all of the Nova Force.

How *****in is that?

I dunno....if it's in space and we get some Starjammers Cameos I'll be all over it like what on rice

So what are some theories as to what will happen in Civil War the confession.

The preview says "two of the Marvel heroes most affected by the shocking conclusion of the war get together one last time. What is said between them will set the course of the Marvel Universe for years to come"

The cover is Cap's shield with blood all over it.

To make a long theory short, I think the "two" are Cap and IronMan, they will meet to plan out Cap's fake death, so the Civil War can somewhat end.

hmmm... a little scene that came to me just now...

"This... this can not be true," Mar-Vell said, facing the window to the Negative Zone.

"I don't want to believe it either," Scott said from his spot on the couch. "The very idea makes me want to vomit, but... With the evidence."

"What evidence?" Jean asked weakly, knowing exactly what he was talking about.

"The fact that they were talking about a program EXACTLY like this not two months before we started just showing up, somehow ressurected," Scott said. "Not to mention Kaine's testimoney on Ben."

The other blonde in the room sat on the wall remaining silent.

"Kaine's a sociopath though," argued Clint, who truely believed.

"he's crazy alright," Ben said, the first to speak since these Heroes had gathered together. "But he'd never do anything to harm me. Even if you want to diagnose him with a sociopathic disorder, part of that disorder is that MY life, not his, is to be perfect. He would never make something up to hurt me."

"I have memories though!" Clint shouted into Ben's face. "Wanda revived us by accident," he gestured between himself and Ben Reilly.

Ben shook his head. "Wanda didn't even know me. She wouldn't revive me. and what about Mar's cancer."

They all turned to Mar-Vell. he had entrusted his oncological care to Dr. Blake and Dr. Grey-Summers, much to the shock of Tony and Reed. that was when they found the first thing that made them doubt it. Mar-Vell remembered the event that gave him his cancer... however he had no trace of it, no genetic markers for it, nothing that even hinted he might have cancer or might develope it.

"Listen," Ben said, finally stepping from the wall. "I know this is a heavy blow to take, trust me, I've been there before. We aren't who we are."

"W-we're clones," Scott agreed, almost in tears. the few days he'd spent with his daughter... and now he found that he wasn't even her father. all the pain of waking up in this cold world, but now the few comforts he'd found were stripped from him.

Jean put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"We are people," Ben said. "We have recognized our origins," he said, looking each of them in the eye. Mar-Vell stepped up instantly to accept these terms. Jean nodded, Scott had a myraid of emotions running across his face, but he was keeping up. Ben focused his eyes on Hawkeye.

Hawkeye refused to meet the Scarlet Spider's gaze, until Mockingbird struck the back of his head. "Grow up Clint," she growled at her former lover... or who she thought was her former lover. Hawkeye nodded to Reilly.

"Now, we have to choose where we go from here. I can't help but ask... if they'd do this. create clones and lie to them, make mockeries of who those beings believe themselves to be... well that's not a group I'm interested in being a part of."

the group was nodding.

"So who's joining where?" Ben asked.

"I still feel dedicated to the cause," Mar-Vell said. "Registration is for the greater good of your people. I cannot adie you. But I feel no need to report you."

"Mar..." Jean said. "I have discovered psychic blocks in myself and Mr. Reilly. Blocks designed to keep us loyal to the program. I removed them and I rethought my position and realized where I truly wanted to be: AGAINST mutant, and super-human, registration. There are possibly blocks in you."

"I appreciate the offer, Phoenix," Mar-Vell replied. "But I must face this as I stand. I have chosen my allies... I cannot betray them."

Ben, Jean and Bobbi moved for the door. they looked to Clint and Scott.

"E-Even if you remove the blocks," Scott said to Jean. "I-I can't let Cassie do this on her own. She's with SHEILD now... I have to stand beside my daughter."

Jean nodded, and refrained from removing his blooks, sensing how comforting they were to him.

"Hawkeye?" Ben asked.

Clint looked down at his hands, he thought for a long time. "On the one hand," he mused. "I do love to break rules and raise a fuss..." then he looked up. "But on the other, if Wanda Maximoff had been registered and monitored and trained, two of us in this room wouldn't have to have been cloned. I'm sorry, and tell Cap that. But I stand with Tony on this one."

Two problems with that scene. One Jean is not a doctor and two Mar-Vell would never be pro reg. He defied his own government in pursuit of what he believed was right. He would never support a program that requires anyone to blindly serve their government. It goes totally against everything the character ever stood for.

I figured he was the type that once he committed to something, he stuck by that commitment, no matter how distatefule it evolves into.

Yeah, that'll never happen at Marvel:dry:.

No, he was an individualist who believed that you do what is right no matter what. He was definately not an anarchist but he believed in personal honor and dignity. His willingness to defy traditional thought and authority in order to do what he thought was right was the reason that he was honored and respected by all the starfaring races including the Skrull.

So he's gonna be okay with his kid being gay then?

Oh, and then to make it just shine home "Dad! This is my boyfriend... he's a witch." I don't care what man you are, those will never be easy words to hear.
