The Death of Batman (?!?!?)

C’mon now!
Didn’t the bat died from a heart attack in that dark knight novel years ago!?
Sooo it wouldn’t be the first time… right!?

He didn't die.................

and the Dark Knight Returns is now classified as an elseworlds tale so that didn't even really happen

the DKR world is part of the multiverse now. i forget which earth it is, but it's been established.

Man, I'd love it if they killed off this bum

And all you Bat-fans might as well keep your flames to yourselves. I hate him, always have, always will.

You know, Batman has actually died before, in continuity. :wow:

And the world didn't explode.

So,back onto topic. What is happening to Bruce now,is he dead? I want to make sure.

He's not dead. He's not going to die. This rumor was all bull****. Go back to were it all started and you'll see the story they are running now.

Yeah the Golden Age Batman died, but I was actually referring to the modern age one.

Yup, along with the rest of the JLA when the bronze age heroes ripped them apart.

He died on Earth-2 right before the Crisis, I think.
Quite a bit before the Crisis, actually. He was Commisioner of the Gotham Police for a while before he died, although I can't remember from what. I do remember that there was a mini about his journals (America vs the Justice Society), which was an awesome one. He'd certainly gone a little cuckoo in his last days as I recall.

Yeah, you're a big fan of the "Who's a Skrull" thing at Marvel, so it's pretty obvious you have the taste of a particularly ******ed toad.

He doesn't care for heroes without powers in general, but he hates Batman for the same reason Aristotle hates most things Marvel. Cuz people say he's teh awesome.

bronze age? you mean obsidian age right?

No, I meant Bronze age. That's the age in which the characters were from, so, I call them the Bronze age JLA. I think they made up the term Obsidian age. Though I'm no scholar, so wtf do I know?

Yes, the did make the term Obsidian Age up.

Fantastic story though.

That's how I was too...I didn't like any character unless they had powers. Two-Face, Lex, Batman, Gordon, Punisher, Robin, Nightwing I never cared for any of them. THEN I read the Long Halloween and my whole opinion on Batman (and non-powered characters as a whole) drastically changed. Now Two-face and Lex are some of my favorite villains and Batman is one of my favorite heroes, if not my favorite. All it takes to realize that Batman actually does have a superpower IMO is reading a good trade of his. Sure he has no 'official power' but his brilliance and cunning are on a superhuman level IMO...and that makes him all the more interesting. Brains over brawns...

agreed... now im thinking of the badassery held in the pages of that story and i wanna go home and break out the trades

I have been working my way through Morrison's run on JLA over the last few days. Even better on the third time around. I'm gonna read everything i've got JLA, then move on to JSA.
