you know I was thinking about it, and with the current state the Avengers are in, the team divided, half of them on the run, their heavy hitters in Hulk and Thor being off world... would you say the Defenders is the more powerful team, as of right now?

Nope, not even in the slightest. The four of them together could, at best, not-lose against a single heavy hitter from either team of Avengers. Avengers-Legal still has Iron Man and Vision, either of which could trash them, and Avengers-Outlaw has Cap, Ant Man, and Scarlet Witch, any of whom could do likewise.

So it looks like Daredevil has indeed ditched his costume as speculated, at least temporarily, (rather than Iron Fist getting one) because he'd look completely out of place next to the other three.

Are there rumors stating Daredevil is ditching his costume? Not sure how you can get that he ditched it from that short teaser. Do you not expect him to be in it at all or something?

I feel like Cap would lose to a Defender one-on one. He might be able to take on Misty easily but Matt and Colleen would at the very least put up a good fight. Danny might lose but if Cap doesn't block his iron fist attack, then it's all over for him. Luke or Jessica would just demolish him.

And Spider-Man, Black Widow and Hawkeye aren't as powerful as Cap is. Spidey has super strength so he's the strongest of those three but he's a glass cannon.

You vastly underrate Cap's capacities. He'd demolish both Jessica and Luke, due to having broadly comparable physical stats, while being *vastly* more skilled than either of them. Which is to say, neither is going to be able to *hit* him, while he will hit them, a lot. Luke might require some ingenuity to do enough harm to matter, but Diamondback could hurt him in the Hammertech suit, and that certainly wasn't anywhere near Stark-level.

Matt and Danny, likewise, he matches in skill while having far superior physical stats. The Iron Fist would be an issue, but its not something he couldn't dodge. . . and except for one instance, none of its strikes have shown firepower that he couldn't just get back up from.

I find it hard to believe that Cap can match Iron Fist in terms of skill, or even come close, frankly.

I think Cap can knock them all out maybe except Iron Fist.

If Iron Fist doesn't get his costume in the Defenders I'll be annoyed.
If Daredevil doesn't wear his costume in the Defenders I'll be pissed.
Doubt both of those things will happen, particularly the last one... but let it be known :o
I have a feeling that the teaser is from when they all first unexpectedly team up.

I'm also banking on IF getting some version of a costume in Defenders. I don't think Daredevil not appearing in costume is even a possibility.

Many banked on Iron Fist getting a costume in Iron Fist.

When I first saw that teaser I swear I thought Danny was the one wearing the mask...lol I was like "Ohhhh damn he might be wearing the costume!"

He can't wear a mask with that easy to identify beard.

Yea I dont know why they dont just get rid of that hair/facial hair...I have a feeling that's just the look they're gonna stick with for Danny.

EDIT: Wait now that I took a good look at it, he actually does look like he shaved a bit.

I don't think Danny will get a costume. The Hand already knows he is the Iron Fist anyway.

I can't imagine him getting a costume outside of an Iron Fist show. Whether it happens in that show, I have no idea, but it's too important a moment to happen somewhere else.

Not from that short teaser alone. But we've discusssed before how DD now looks out of place and the odd one out among the four, since Iron Fist doesn't appear to be getting a costume anytime soon, and with him keeping that beard in this series, makes it less likely he's going to do so.

That's true, I think the only way is to get potter involved somehow. I always picture Danny hiring Potter, helping him patent his armor tech, then put him on payroll. So Defenders might be where that introduction is made.

I would be upset if DD is not in his costume at some point when they're all fighting together.

I'll be let down a little if Daredevil isn't in costume for Defenders. I've been working hard preparing my Daredevil cosplay this year. :(

Daredevil will wear his suit. We've already seen it on a set video posted here a while ago. Don't worry about it.

Elektra got killed. Stick almost got killed. All of the people he cares about got hurt/affected by his actions as Daredevil.

I'd say this actually has more to do with the Chaste and Stick training him from a child to be a soldier to fight the hand, than it does his nighttime crime fighting. Essentially it has nothing to do with his Daredevil persona.

Elektra would have still come to him, and he would have still been wrapped up in fighting the hand if none of the events of the first season happened.

Yes, but Matt left them because he has a heart, which Stick and his band of followers don't. Matt took the death of Elektra personally and it shook him. I don't get whats so hard to grasp about this. Yes, it would have happened without him but it's still someone he loved that got killed that he was unable to save.

Sure. But none of that had anything to do with being daredevil. So I don't know why that would make him stop being daredevil.

If anything, Matt seems like more of a double down into vengeance sort of character. After all, his father's death seems to be the motivation for him to fight crime to begin with.
