See what happened was, their village was very poor because all the able bodied men had been killed when Captain America blew up the factory they worked at back in world war II. Then their parents were killed by Black Widow. Then the forest they kept their pet goat in was destroyed by Iron Man fighting Thor. Then Hawkeye occupied their village while training his brainwashed troops and made them put on ad hoc vaudeville shows. Then their new parents were killed while on vacation in England while Thor was hanging out on the subway train. Then Hulk something something...

So you see...

haha! I know its like, I just dont get why theyd hate The Avengers for taking on HYDRA and the Chitauri. Maybe they ARE brainwashed by HYDRA, but then they join ULTRON too I guess. Its crazy. Youll recall that Scarlet Witch is said to mess with HULKs mind so he thinks a Leviathan is still alive.

It will probably be something that happens/is revealed in the film. Maybe some Stark missiles destroyed their village or something. There then is the fact that they *are* actually all killers. The twins might simply find out.

Maybe. I just heard a rumor that they had personal beef with the Avengers, so I was trying to come up with something that lined up with that.

One easy explanation for why they join Ultron:

1) They escape HYDRA, but the Avengers see them as loose cannons/threats and capture them to be safe.

2) Ultron frees them when he rebels against the Avengers.

3) The twins decide to help the guy who freed them to fight the people who captured them.

I really liked the suggestion someone had that Black Widow, at some point in her evil, red-ledgered past, did something that leads the twins to hate her. Whether it was killing their parents, or something less cliched, remains to be seen. And now that she's released all of SHIELD's secrets to the internet -- including her own -- the world at large knows it. As Pierce asked her: "Are you ready for the world to see you as you truly are?"

This ties in with Ultron then asking how any of them can be worthy, which seems to be the theme of the movie.

Ultron used the master of evil when he first showed up in the comics. So why wouldn't MCU Ultron use Witch and Silver.

Yeah Ultron could be using the twins to distract the Avengers whilst he builds his drones and prepares for human extinction. And the twins will think they are just defeating the Avengers and when they find out Ultron plans on wiping out all humans they realise they are on the wrong side.

smash: Oh HELL YEAH!! Joss used ULTRON CRASHING the party as a nod to all the times ULTRON comes crashing through a wall or floor to surprise em in the comics. PERFECT. Another thing I really dig is how Joss turned him from the yelling angry robot into a more emotional, human sounding one. It wouldnt work if he just screamed and laughed maniacally in every scene.
