No... Maybe I am wrong but I think it's all coming home to the MCU. The last of the Fox films still get released but after that... It's done. The Fox universe of the Mutants folds and Marvel starts up with the Mutants in the MCU. It will take some time to get there but we will start getting inklings by late 2019 of who is going to be involved, casting, directors and the like. This will take time for the regulatory process to dot all the I's but it's happening.

Or that's what I thought I was reading. Anyone else confirm or deny this?

That's the way I was understanding it....but I was wrong once in my life....so we'll see.

If the merger is allowed which despite what Marvel fans wants, is hopefully going to get denied. There are other ways for the Marvel properties to get back under one roof, and it doesn't require buying out the competition.

The merger will be approved, this isn't a telecom company and there is plenty of competition on the market. X-Men, F4, and all the Fox Marvel properties will now be back in the fold of Marvel Studios.

They could do a Secret Wars II style reboot of the Fox properties which would allow them to end the current run of Fox-Men films and give Hugh Jackman a chance to play Wolvie one last time with all the MCU stars which he said he would reprise the role for in the past. Then they could "merge" the universes and keep anyone they want or recast anything they want.

Eh... Too convoluted. And Hugh recently stated he's done. No need for reality altering or Xavier mind wiping etc.

Right there. Iron Man post cred scene that started it all is the only justification needed. It's a shared universe, has been from the start. No need too over complicate it. They certainly didn't once they got Spidey back in the fold, and no one batted an eyelash.

I would think fans would be somewhat forgiving on timeline details to see their fandoms finally merge like they are supposed to.
