Oh you better prepare yourself for the TLJ backlash that's happening right now in the Star Wars forum.
Thankfully that board is not my domain so I'm free to ignore it.

...but probably won't.

Backlash smacklash. What are they gonna do, hope for the rights to revert back to Fox? The Mouse is playing 3D chess here.

I just don't wanna have to wait outside in the cold too long. 10am showing as soon as I get out of work. RPX theater. Wish me luck ya'll.

Gonna try to see it again tomorrow afternoon.

Giving NO spoilers... What did you think overall flick? Did you like how Luke was handled? Was the furthering of the Kylo and Rey stories satisfying? Did the length enhance or hurt the movie?

notice the goombas have those saiyan frieza eye things? well one or two do.... i wonder if they are super goombas

I loved it. Like, LOVED it. I mean, I loved TFA too so you could say I'm an easy sell I guess, but this was a vastly superior film to that on pretty much every level, imo. I liked how Luke was handled. It seems like what people wanted to happen versus what actually happened is your typical fan fiction vs. canon differential to me. Which is not to put down those people (hey, fan fiction can be great!), it's just...this felt more honest to me. And yes, I thought the Kylo/Rey stuff was actually GREAT, and much better than anything I was expecting.

As for the length, I can see why some say it dragged, and I think I know the exact portion people would want to remove to shave off those hypothetical 30 minutes, but I wouldn't cut that portion for anything. It was my favorite bit of world-building and personality in the whole thing AND served to punctuate the themes in the end.

Literally everything exists on the internet. It's like Neverland from Hook. If you wish it, it'll appear.

Also, that was a poor colour choice for that Goomba.

Sounds right up my alley. And similar to what Roose told me.

I'm certainly interested in hearing your take as well, so I hope you'll post your general thoughts here after you see it. I just spent 5 minutes on the TLJ forum and I doubt I'll be spending much more, lol.

Rufio.....Rufio!.....RUFIO!!! RUFIO!!! RUFIO!!!!!

So who's getting into weird and kinky Star Wars stuff this weekend? I'm talking lightsabers and butt stuff. BDSM Yoda cosplay, y'know, the usual opening weekend kind of things as one does.
