Odin’s Vault is a big part of Thor and it also figures prominently into other Marvel movies. Feige says, “Odin’s vault which is where a number of the most dangerous relics of the nine realms are kept.” He went onto say, “There are a couple of key McGuffins kept in here which lead to the story of the movie and even the story of other movies.”

We need to figure out what the stuff in the vault is.
It's got the Eye of Agamotto, which we'll see again in Dr. Strange. They made the Infinity Gauntlet and showed it at Comic-Con, but I've seen people say they didn't see it in the film?
Description of two other items from a different thread:

I also got a slightly better look at the treasure room. Here's what I can describe...

The first thing is a circular thing that KINDA resembles the Havok from X-Men's chest emblem. (Not saying there's any connection to him, just trying to describe how it looks). It's like a metallic kind of dark grey, stone and the rings are a bright blueish.

The second thing is a big slab of stone or something, kind of tallish, with a tablet or something with writing inscribed on it.

And again, the eye of Ag. looks AWESOME.

The "stone slab" might be toughest to figure out, but the circular thing sounds like we should recognize it as some character's emblem or weapon or some kind of cosmic artifact. Is it related to the Kree? Skrulls? Guardians of the Galaxy? Is it something from an "Ultimate" comic?

I was pretty annoyed that they took out the

line and just said 'some groups'.

The Pym/Banner references were very subtle. As a matter of fact the 'Pym' reference could be towards anyone however i'm going to assume it's about Hank.

The Hawkeye cameo was awesome, a lot better than i thought it would be.

And the relics, i would love to find out what they are. Glad the Infinity Gauntlet wasn't there otherwise it would have to be explained how, if it was used in a future film got out of Asgard.

There is no cube in Odins room. Its the casket of winters. And I really did not see the infinity gauntlet. Maybe I missed that?

I didn't see it and i was looking for it.

I did notice that there was a glow coming from one of the sections like that off a flame but you couldn't see anything else. It'd be the last one before the Casket of Winters on the right hand side as you are coming in.
