The "Easter Eggs/References" Thread (Spoilers)

I also got a slightly better look at the treasure room. Here's what I can describe...

The first thing is a circular thing that KINDA resembles the Havok from X-Men's chest emblem. (Not saying there's any connection to him, just trying to describe how it looks). It's like a metallic kind of dark grey, stone and the rings are a bright blueish.
OK, think I might have this one.

Is it a Kree Omni-Wave Projector?

This is an image from the Kree-Skrull War, which we're basically certain is the source of the Avengers film's plot.

The only ones I caught this time around were
- Hawkeye.
- A general mention of a scientist, Banner.
- Cosmic cube, after credits.

Just came back from Thor and I've noticed:
- the cosmic cube in the after credits scene
- hawkeye obviously with Nick Fury
- the reference to Bruce Banner
- ok and I see that like some of you, I thought it was the eye of Agamotto in Odin's trophy room

No infinity gauntlet

This was known, and pretty obvious:
Coulson seeing the Destroyer and another agent asks him if it's one of Stark's.

"I don't know, he never tells me anything!" :)

MY SOURCES CONFIRM: Infinity Gauntlet's visible in the background when Destroyer's shooting up the Frost Giants.

My niece said that she spotted the gauntlet when the camera panned 'behind' the eye of agamotto - she saw it PAST the characters.

I guess I'm just going to have to watch the entire film again, just to make sure of the above ;)

EDIT: just shown her a pic of the gauntlet from Comic Con, she's not so sure anymore. She, surprisingly ;) , wants to watch the entire film again, just to make sure hehehe

Yah, the Infinity Gauntlet is visible when the Destroyer shoots the other two frosty goons. Just as the one guy is about to explode, you can see the Gauntlet behind him and to the left of the screen. Hahahaahaah

interesting here you go guys, Fiege mentions what's in Odin's tomb

Yeah but what sucks is that he only identifies one or two objects and even then he's vague. What does he mean by a sword that's eternal? Surtur's Twilight Sword?

He said, and other bloggers during their set visits, that there's 9 items in the vault... some of which may lead to other stories. If it's the Twilight Sword, that makes sense. It would be cool if someone in production would tell us what the other unseen objects were and post pics.

Otherwise, we can see maybe 4 objects in the movie and identify 3 of them (Warlock's Eye, Infinity Gauntlet & Casket of Ancient Winters). Clearly the Cosmic Cube - or "Tesseract" as it's called in the movies - is the one that's missing. He mentioned sword(s), as in several, so what were those? Some prop guy did an interview at comic-con last year that made one of them sound awesome.

Ugh, guess I gotta hope that the Art of Thor book sheds more light on things, once I find it. Hopefully there's at least a deleted scene on the Blu-ray with this stuff.

Well yes, I'd have to see the sword to say yes it's the Twilight sword.I 'll show you the Actual sword the Twilight sword is based on.
Here's the Warlock's eye he mentions

The Twilight Sword is Based on an Actual sword called the Dybek sword.

OK THIS, is the actual sword in a museum

THIS is a Replica of that sword if it were complete (there are more parts to the above sword.)

THESE are the way the parts of the hilt should separate.

See when the found the sword, the Scabbard top was fused to the bottom of the hand guard and people thought it was part of the actual hand guard. The sword should look like this without the scabbard top.

here's my drawing of the twilight sword

Billboards in the small town that says:

"Home of the Vikings" and "Journey into mystery". The last one being the slogan for either New Mexico or the small town.

So it's NOT the eye of agamotto.

I'm gonna bet that the Infinity Gauntlet is in the 20 extra minutes of footage that the DVD will get.

no mention of sleipnir? c'mon. sleipnir looks cool

Just heard of a Cameo I didn't know about over on the Thor Message boards. WALT is actually in a scene with the Warriors III after the Battle and they're eating at the table.

yeah, maybe we'll see more of it, but the infinity gauntlet's already in the film btw. when the frost giants who invade during thor's ceremony get obliterated by the destroyer. just keep looking at the left of the screen. i think it while the first or second guy gets hit.

Yeah there wasn't too much time to really get a glimpse at any of the other Items other than the Warlock's Eye.
The rest of the items have to be in the DVD.
The OTHER thing is Walt sits right NEXT to Sif while they're eating dinner after they return to Asgard. so you have THREE of the Thor writers in the movie. The Audience laughed pretty loud at Stan's cameo. lol
