Another thing I've noticed is that it seems some writers completely forgot how old these guys were supposed to be. The first few episodes they have Pete driving around. Unless he's really really stupid he shouldn't be driving in the 9th grade. Also Lex sends Clark a truck after Clark saves his life. lol........o.k.

Now that I'm older some of these scenes make me feel like a dirty old man. Back in '01 when I first saw Clark peep into the girls lockerroom in "X-ray" I thought nothing of it. Now it just seems really pervy.

Yeah, I noticed that with Lana too. Not only was she driving her own car, but she also dating Whitney, who was a senior and of legal age to join the military. I thought the car thing could've been explained by saying the driving age is younger in Smallville, but a 14/15 years old being left alone with an 18 yrs would raise eyebrows in a lot of places.

Not necessarily. Seniors and freshmen dating isn't that big a deal. I saw it all the time when I was teaching. And I went to HS in a small town, so it wasn't uncommon there either.

But I agree that in the early seasons, GoughLar didn't really know how to reconcile the characters' ages with the actors ages.

Blk Supes, during the short Smallville comic run (which I'm sure was considered in continuity to the show) there was one with a scientist who was collecting different FOTW that Clark had defeated so he could pool their abilities and perfect them into one person. He had one of the Greg Arkin bugs and explained how they were all a part of him....so I guess that was a cameo of his character.

Just saw a Cassidy Freeman tweet that they have a little over a week left of filiming to do and then Smallville is finished from a production standpoint.

I know the time has come but still, how freaking sad is that?

Please. It's obvious that the writers had no Clue the age of the people they were suppose to be writing. If these kids were old enough to drive then they'd be driving on a regular basis. The first time you see Chloe & Pete they're on a school bus. A few episodes later Pete's driving. Then the next episode he's riding a school bus. If you're 14 w/ a learner's permit you're not gong to pick up Amy Adams to go to the Homecoming dance by yourself. Jeez I hate when people try and sprout crap about doing research and don't do it themselves.

Well even with kids who can drive they may not drive to school all the time or what not. Like what if other family members had the car/to car troubles and things like that. When we get so anal with little details like that. It just way to much to stress over.

From my understanding of the law it was you could drive in Kansas under the age of 16 if your were accompanied by an adult(something which we rarely saw)

I been watching Smallville since day 1 aka the "Pilot" episode. I was 13, I remember seeing all the promos for the premiere, I was like "WOW....this looks like a cool show." This has been the longest series I have kept up with, a decade of being a loyal fan, it seem like yesterday when that first meteor shower struck Smallville and we saw Clark racing to school. I kept up with the first 4 seasons, Season 5 I lost track, missing a lot of episodes but catching the last few minutes of the finale. I remember watching the Season 6 premiere my first year of college and my roommate giving me a hard time for liking the show, but he actually enjoyed it at the end of watching it. I lose track of the show during that season, too. But by the end of Season 6 and the beginning of Season 7 is when I started watching the show consistently again, bought all the dvds, starting writing reviews etc. up to now. Can't believe 10 years flew by like that, but it has been a rollercoaster journey. Can't wait for the series finale and see Clark fullfill his destiny after all these years, it's been worth it!t:

Yeah I've been watching this since about S2 or S3. I grew up watching this show, Tom Welling was/is my Superman. Me, my mom, and brother would all watch it every week it was on and still are. When they introduced Green Arrow on the show, I thought (and still do) he's the coolest character in it. Justin Hartley has done a great job as GA. I'm really going to miss this show But it's lasted so long, I guess it's pretty much the perfect time to end it. I still can't wait to see what the finale will bring.... I have a feeling I'll get extremely sad (as well as my mom, most definitely) when the credits finally role and it's over... No more new episodes.

Welling, Schneider, O'Toole, Durance, Hartley, Rosenbaum, Glover, etc. All great picks for the show. Seriously, some great casting has been on Smallville!

Ya I been watching from day one. Seen every episode as they aired. Never missed it. I recall hearing about it months before it aired in oct of 01. I was in tenth grade at the time. So I grew just like clark did. Finished highschool and 5 yrs of college, and now having a job. It is sad to see it go. I always hate when ia show I like and enjoy ends(ends on its own/canned).

Fixxer as great as a spinoff would be. I don't see it much likely happening. Its not that often we get a spin off unless it happens right after first show ends. Yes a few times that isn't the case(90210/melrose place and the upcoming dallas sequel series). But since cast/crew are all starting to or have other jobs lining up it doesn't seem feesible. Plus if any future dc happen they will likely be there own separate thing/world like human target on fox or the upcoming wonder woman show on nbc.

In 2010 they changed a few rules but:

Restricted licenses will still be available for 15 year old drivers, they are still only legally allowed to drive to and from work or school by themselves. They can drive anywhere with a licensed adult.

So that means an episode like Nicodemus when we see Chloe drive late at night she was doing so illegally, same deal with Clark in an episode like Hug. I am guessing there is a few other episodes where we see somebody who is 15 driving for non school or work purposes, and a few that are almost implied(say an episode like Cool where the opening scene they are at crater lake but we actually didn't see them drive there, they had to get out there somehow)

* Lex really likes to get married
* Pete has a buttload of cars including a red and blue Camaro.
* Clark will love any lady that happens to find out his secret.
* Kents have financial issues because the insurance on their vehicles must be through the roof.
