Ant-Man and The Wasp The Evangeline Lilly/Hope Van Dyne/Wasp Thread

I can't wait to see Evangeline become the new Wasp. I'm sure she's gonna have a blast, and it'll be great seeing her in superhero form.

She better get a new haircut. That bob cut looks too severe and doesn't suit her at all but makes her look older. While it might be similar to what Janet had in the comics, it's not playful enough and doesn't really go well with Evangeline's face.

There's nothing wrong with her look and this is literally the last thing that needs to receive major focus. There are more to women beyond appearances, Raven. :o

It's not to do with whether she's a woman or not. I've said that Finn Jones needs to get rid of his beard and that ideally he should have a different, straighter, less unruly hairstyle. I've talked about Jon Bernthal's Punisher hairstyle too. They're clearly not women. :o

Glad to hear that this will be a true co-starring deal. Hope and Lang have enough meat to both be integral characters with their own arcs.

Yes exactly. This will make it much more than just a straight Ant Man sequel. Really looking forward to seeing them in action together.

I have to assume Lang will be dealing with the fallout of his participation in the Civil War and how it affects his family while Hope will be dealing with the legacy (and maybe rescue?) of her mother and father.

Yep sounds likely. Will be great if they get equal billing/focus/screentime as they deal with their own issues and then come together for a joint mission. And will be interesting to see how they interact using their powers at the same time.

If they gloss over his fugitive status from Civil War, that's bad writing and storytelling.

I was surprised to see the inclusion of Wasp in the newest Avengers toon. Hopefully it bode well for the character to be used widely in the coming films.

Wasp joining the new Avengers team makes sense especially if Scott/Ant-Man joins the team which he no doubt will in Infinity War but to see the 2 of them in the sequel together fighting side by side I can only hope that Wasp herself has fight scenes

Lilly had said she's going to be in the fourth Avengers movie.

So she won't be in IW Part 1 but then how will they explain her absence

Only the top tier Avengers will be featured in Infinity Wars Part 1 while everyone else will be showing up in the second movie.

Huh? That's not accurate. Thus far the only people confirmed to definitely only be in 2 are Wasp and Captain Marvel (and even then it's possible the latter will appear in IW pre-powers).

I wonder what Scott's family think of him going to prison again not long after saving his daughter from Darren, and leaving a giant sized ant.
I think Hank will be infuriated about what happened to his suit.

I doubt that will be play a big role in the movie.

It doesn't have to be big, but enough of it there to make the movie more than another popcorn action comedy with sprinkled references to older movies in the franchise.

I know Paxton and Maggie they will most likely keep Scott away from Cassie again

I don't see why. Seeing what he does and why he does it has certainly given him a degree of latitude with them, that is rightly earned.

I can't wait to see the first offiical image of Evie in the suit!
