Glad to hear it's going to be R-Rated. I grew up watching these guys make violent R-Rated movies, to have them make this sequel PG-13 would have been stupid.

Same here; I guess I'm back on board with this recent news, but I'm still tempering any excitement with a bit of trepidation.

As someone said previously, what's to say that a few fake CGI blood inserts and dubbed cuss words arent simpy being added just to placate the fair few who said they had less interest in watching a deliberately watered down and newtered movie?

R isn't just about blood and cussing, it's about the whole tone of the movie. The Avengers looks like a typical pg-13 movie, I don't want this film limited due to the rating.

From what I understood. EX2 was filmed as an R and then were going to edit it down to get to PG-13, then of course release the directors unrated cut on DVD/Blue Ray later right?

So now, they will just go back to releasing the directors R rated cut in the theaters?

I don't know I believe it was filmed pg-13.

In the original Norris interview from a little whole ago he said he only agreed to appear in the movie knowing it would be pg-13 as he doesn't do r rated films.

Also based on the look of the 1st movie, it's highly probably the r rated content will be added in digital blood and yes dubbed in curse words.

I know you guys care a lot of about the R rating I'm just hoping that the tone in this movie is a little less campy than the first. I would love for this to be in the vain of a Dirty Dozen, but I know that's shooting for the stars... a man can dream though.

Just like fantasy football, box office predicting and debating is not for everyone. I know I wouldn't want to obsess over football stats all day just like you wouldn't want to debate box office predictions.

But to me box office speculation is all about watching stars (actors, directors) rise or fall and seeing worlds (franchises) be born and eventually die.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how they shot most of it.

I thoguht it was intended to be R rated and shot as an R, but they were going to edit it down to release it in PG-13, with of course the directors R cit coming out later.

During a short video interview with BJJAdictTV, Randy Couture (who appears 'Toll Road' in the first two EXPENDABLES pictures) indicates that he's..."probably going to start shooting EXPENDABLES 3 here in the Fall, after EXPENDABLES 2 comes out in August."
We'd previously heard that a third installment in the franchise was quite probable, but...to the best of my knowledge...this is the first solid indicator of a "probable" time frame.
EXPENDABLES 2, directed by Simon West (CON AIR and the recent MECHANIC remake), humbles men everywhere August 17.

Don't listen to Couture, he's the Tom Arnold of the franchise.

But if EX2 is as big a hit as the first, LGF is gonna become a huge contender.

That video is part of a scene that could still be get cut,You had a chance and will again when 2nd trailer is out!!
