I actually respect zach galiffinakis for not wanting to take part in some mel gibson p.r. recovery stunt.

Look mel gibson has problems and i think he is somewhat of a hateful man. People using his instability to sell a cheap cameo is not something i support.

I don't think anyone wanted him in the film because of his ''instability"..they want him cos its a action star of that caliber..Payback..Lethal Weapon, and so on. Plus, coming off his role as a bad guy in Machete and having awesome facial hair has sold it for me.

He was totally and utterly wasted and said some bad things, then his wife recorded a phone convo of him in a rage..notice she barely says anything? Cos shes said it all, pissed him off, and started recording. She wanted to catch his anger..over her being a total cow. Like none of us have ever said bad things when drunk or shouted at a person we love..

I love Mel. He makes awesome movies. What he does in his personal life I couldnt give two rats a**es about.
Bravehart, Apocalypto, Lethal Weapon, Mad Max... without Mel none of those would have been the same.
He seems crazy yes, but that craziness is put to great use when he's either behind or in front of cameras.

I don't want to derail the thread but his whole wasted argument is total BS. I've been wasted plenty of times and never go off on hateful rants. It wasn't just that incident and the one with his ex-wife either.

He had another recent incident with a screen writer who recorded him spouting off even more bigoted and hateful comments.

I tend to give people benefit of the doubt most times but i just don't have time for people i consider bigots.

Yeah Chan is pretty much done now,IF he was in this or E3 his fights would be very similar to Li vs Lundgren,I just can't imagine him using tons of objects/flipping around/jumping from high places and doing crazy stunts,In Rush Hour 3 he was already a bit slowed&toned down!!!!
