The Expendables 2 - Part 2

Oh, respect Randy 'The Natural' Couture. He's a legend in MMA.

That's great if you give a **** about MMA.

Not neccesarily. If we are drawing from over the top 80's action movies, Van Damme can die and be in the next movie as his character's long lost good twin brother or something. He's done the whole twin double more than a once already anyway. :woot:

LOL good point. :D

No, it's about respecting a legend in combat sports.

You don't have to give a **** about MMA to get your ass handed to you on a platter by a 50 year old.

As Stallone himself said: "The guy could kick all of our asses easily. He's a scary dude."

I heard this is Jet Li's last appearance in an Expendables movie, is this true?

I don't think anyone is knocking on Randy's achievements in the sport. He's got a proud body of work there. His on-screen presence could do with a lil less boring tho.

He's a very intense physical guy but he needs to be more engaging as an actor.

Love the nerf guns addition to the movie posters!! Hilarious! What does everybody actually think about these old guys still making action movies? Please let me know your comments. I personally like it. It gives me hope in my old age that instead of watching Wheel of Fortune, that I can train to be a soldier of fortune. Seriously, I do enjoy seeing all these action movie stars all together. Sure, it's unrealistic, but hey, I watch a movie to be entertained and not for how much it is based in realism. My wife is a huge Bruce Willis fan; hopefully, I can stop her from running up to the screen and planting a liplock of epic proportions on Mr. Willis. Anyway, looking forward to the sequel.

Exactly.

All WT asked is why Randy's most likely [over the long-run] going to feature more than Van Damme and, to be honest, it's not an altogether unfair question to ask. Sure, Randy's a bonafide MMA legend but Van Damme's an absolute action movie legend and this is an action movie, so.................

Is there a download link for the new trailer yet? 1080p?

Yeah, see I'm not on some campaign to have the guy removed. I think he would have worked better as a villain though. I even feel like Austin got shortchanged, he's not a wonderful actor either but he's done more movies and would have been a better fit for a reoccurring role imo.

They really need to get The Rock in on one of these.

The Rock, Vin Diesel and Vinnie Jones should be a terrible trio of villains in Expendables 3.

Oh I'm not saying Randy Couture is a charismatic actor (he definitely needs more acting lessons) but alot of fans are questioning why Couture got a role in these films.

Well, simple.

He's a legitimate badass in reality, not just in the acting realm. This is a guy who could kick Van Damme's, Lundgren's and Norris' ass. That's why I ask those fans to respect Couture's casting in a movie filled with badasses.

& bring back Stone Cold as the twin brother of the guy Stone Cold played in the first one :word:

hopefully, if his acting hasn't improved, he gets no lines this time around and just shoots stuff. :woot:

I'm not sure how true that rumor is but I trust if this sequel makes enough money, the producers wouldn't have a problem bringing Jet Li back in the future if they wanted to, provided Jet himself is willing come aboard again of course.

Remember the first movie ? He just went out there all excited and suplexed everyone left and right :yay:

Not so sure about that... back in the day Norris/Lundgren were actually world class martial artists... it would have been closer than you think. Now is a diff story cause everyone is so old, lol.

I like Randy Couture's role in the Expendables. Not everyone in the team shiould be a Hollywood superstar; he brings some legitimate, blue collar utilitarian toughness to the ensemble. And he's been in the armed forces in real life too.

And I like the fact that his character is kind of an eccentric trend-follower of natural healing and mental health promotion. :funny:

I dunno, it really looks like
Jet Li dies.

Sadistic henchman Victor (martial arts champion Scott Adkins) is quick with a blade and loyal to the cause… a menacing combo.

Share this poster if you love vicious bad-guys! The Expendables 2 - in theaters August 17th.

JCVD & Adkins together? I'm not sure they should let the old boys win!

How funny is it were going from Eric Roberts/David Zayas as the lead villains to Van Dammage and Boyka... quite the upgrade I must say.

Not counting Stone Cold or Gary D. because they were relegated to henchman status.
