So, did anyone actually die, or did the "Expendables" all survive again?

I've accidentally learned a couple spoilers through reviews.

So far I know
Liam Hemsworth is killed and Mickey Rourke's death is mentioned briefly.

Tool's death is not even really mentioned at all. All Barney says is that they've lost some friends *plural*.

-How much screen time does Arnold/Willis&JCVD have?

-What are the highlights for each characters?(Expendables/JCVD&even Adkins)

-Which is the the best fight scene?

-Does Crews&Couture have bigger&better roles than the first movie?

-How would compare this to the first movie?(story/action/character/etc)

Man, there were many scenes that I was just grinning and was asking myself, why the hell are am I enjoying this so much? It's just a guilty pleasure movie for me. By no means is this movie good, but it was a lot of fun seeing all these heroes kicking ass and bantering with each other.

EXPENDABLES 1: 5/10
EXPENDABLES 2: 6.5/10

Answers if you really want to know:

-They all have a decent amount. Willis is in numerous more scenes this time. JCVD is the main villain and gets to have a lot of fun. Arnold is mainly in there at the beginning and the end.

-Adkins has the secondary rivalry with Jason Statham and they have some tension leading to a big fight at the end. Lundgren's Gunner has more backstory this time around but he's mostly a creepy psychotic type. His backstory is all mostly based on Lundgren's real life as well. Chuck Norris is playing the Chuck Norris Facts Chuck Norris. His scenes are some of the most fun in the movie. Van Damme does his signature jumping spin kicks still. Jet Li is unfortunately gone after the prologue.

-I'd say best fight scene is Van Damme and Stallone. Two action legends duking it out. No guns, all physical. Van Damme does some fun little lines and mannerisms, clearly having a good time.

-Crews and Couture don't do too much more than banter around and kill people. Couture in the last movie at least had a big fight with the main henchman in Stone Cold. Not this go around. I don't think you will care too much about that by the time the movie is over though.

-I enjoyed it a lot more than the first one. There's a much more fun, charismatic villain this time. The dialogue is a little smoother in the first movie it was pretty rough and at times unintelligible. The opening action scene is a lot bigger and more dramatic compared to the first one where they just shoot up a bunch of pirates pretty quickly.

-The heroes are more motivated since it's a revenge story. It's hardly Chris Nolan but it works far better than anything Michael Bay has ever done. I find both Expandables movies far better than any of the Transformers flicks.

Loved it. It's better than E1 because it has a better villain and less story and serious "character moments". The banter between Sly and Statham was worse than in E1, though. Some one-liners are legendary and JCVD was having tons of fun, you could tell.

Great flick, can't wait for E3.

I enjoyed it but it isn't really good at all. First of all where the heck is the action. There is not much. A certain character's departure was so horrible it was laughable. My biggest problem with the movie is 1. Too much talking and 2. Waay too self refrential. I know you need a story and the comraderie between the characters but these are some of the worst out there. Like it or not, noone in this should be consider a good-great actor thus this needed more action and less talking. But alas this movie does have some pretty dang good action scenes when they're there and that's why I saw the movie so ill give it a 7/10

Dude there was an action scene like every five minutes.

The self-references I thought were cute especially that they all acknowledged how old they were and they were sort of a dying breed basically.

There was far less downtime in E2 compared to E1.

I mean the movie opened with a huge, classic type of storming the compound type sequence. The first movie opened up on a pretty anti-climactic note. The theatrical opening was the Somali pirates acting all mean and vicious and then they get blown away pretty quickly.

Yup. Opening sequence of E2 was on par with the final fight of E1. Talk about bigger and better.

Loved it. Absolute fun.

They had me smiling from the opening.

Wow, you guys really have me to pumped to see this. I'm going as soon as I get off work this afternoon.

That means TE3 will have the introduction, and then just straight up action. :woot:

I'm either going today or tomorrow, can't wait.

Yea I'm pretty sure you haven't seen this yet.

As someone who was looking forward to the first one and walked out disappointed, I came out of this one highly satisfied. It was everything I wanted the first time around. Maybe more. Bring on E3.

That's good. I wasn't impressed by the first Movie at all. So hopefully I'll enjoy the 2nd one like you did.

You kind of have to be in on the joke or just a fan of balls out action to really appreciate this flick. You can't really take it seriously, it's a satire, as straight as they claim they are playing it.

True

the Chuck Norris in jokes were very funny

My favorite line in the whole movie:
Schwarzenegger's "Yippie-ki-yay"

That's really saying something.
