I really enjoyed the movie. The action was great, though statham vs adkins was very short. Loved all of the chuck and arnie scenes. They need more screen time in the next one. The dialogue was pretty unintentionally funny, but i wasnt expecting "the king's speech" or anything. I'd say it was quite a bit better than the first one. Though not as special for people who didnt grow up watching 80s action films. 8/10

Did anyone think Arnold's entrance at the end of the film was kind of a Total Recall nod?

Yeah with the drilling machine, like the one benny was in when arnold killed him. I thought so. "screw you!" Priceless.

how much of the budget went toward Just For Men hair dye for Chuck's beard?

:woot: I have to admit, the beard was a bit distracting. Chuck might want to tone it down a bit. Maybe let a grey hair or two come through.

Chuck norris doesn't get grey hairs...

Grey hairs get chuck norris.

Anyone else catch the Terminator music play briefly when Arnie appears the second time?

I noticed that right away. I also thought there was a moment where the music score sounded a lot like the Rambo theme. Not sure if I imagined that or not (or wishful thinking). Anyone else think they heard the Rambo similarity?

I was trying to remember where I remembered that thing from! I knew it wasn;t just Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

My friends and I have been quoting Van Damme's line pretty much whenever possible: "Don't chall-ENGE me."

Loved Expendables 2. Amazing fun. Chuck Norris ftw!

****-

Saw it today. Cheesy, of course, but entertaining as hell. Just like the first one. Chuck Norris made the movie for me. But my major complaint is that Jet Li was only in the first ten minutes. I hope the WHOLE TEAM is there the whole time for Expendables 3. In the first one, Terry Crews and Randy Couture got shafted on screen time, now Jet Li. What gives?

Love how everyone is now saying how the chuck norris scenes were the best, but when this was gonna be pg13 everyone was goin on about how much they hate chuck norris

This movie worth catching in theaters? Enjoyed the first one.

Did you notice that during the end credits where it had the actors name up and showed a shot of said actor and it had a skull morph over their face, on Arnies shot the Skull only went over half of his face, making him look like The Terminator....:woot:

Damn I left soon as the credits started,Can't believe I missed that:(,Oh well I'll see when the movie is released on dvd/blu-ray!!!

I thought so too. I heard certain nods to the Rambo theme

In my mind's eye, I keep seeing Dolph's face when he talks about getting Thai food. He looked so goofy saying that. Loved it. I'm glad they referenced his MIT stuff too, that was pretty awesome.

I remember reading a article that stated Jet Li didn't want to return for the 2nd film, Stallone actually convinced him just to come back for that opening scene so that they can write him out instead of just mentioning why he ain't there... It's cool though, at least we know Jet Li can return for the 3rd film or whatever!

I actually thought Li's brief screen time was better than anything he did in EX1. That frying pan fight was friggin awesome.

But if he didn't want to come back for the 2nd one...why would he for the 3rd?

What dumb studio head even considered giving this a PG-13 rating, were they serious?

You've got a movie full of the meanest, toughest, baddest mofos in action movie history and the studio wants to tone it down for soccer moms, I hope this person got a roundhouse kick to the face.

Are there any more lines like this in the film for Norris?
Not really. He just shows up and kicks butt.

The film is honestly not all that far from a pg13. The violence was pretty comic-y. And honestly i was surprised at how non-gory it was. Even seeing someone get pushed into the propeller of a helicopter wasnt as bad as i wouldve thought. And I dont think there were any f-words.

There isn't a single f-bomb in the entire movie, which I found a bit distracting to be honest. As weird as that might sound, it was just a little bizarre to see all these dudes not swearing at all, especially since they swore quite a bit in the first one IIRC.

Another thing regarding the swearing that I thought was weird is to do with Chuck Norris. Isn't it a little ass backwards that he had a problem with curse words, but had no problem with people's heads exploding left and right? :o

Wait, there were no f-bombs? I didn't even realize it because of all the awesomeness that was surrounding me.
