I would love mel gibson in this. a mel gibson/bruce willis showdown would be a dream come true. I want the rock as well, and all the rumored names would be great too. I would love if donnie yen changed his mind. We need one more Jet Li/Domnie Yen fight, but more hand to hand this time. Damn, did jet look good in that ex2 fight or what.

You had me at Nic Cage. Take my money now! Kurt Russell needs to reunite with Sly.

Tango n Cash.

Sean Connery wanted for 'Expendables 3'

The retired 81-year-old actor has been named as director Simon West's dream casting for a possible third movie in the action franchise.

Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger are among the host of action stars that appear in The Expendables 2.

West revealed that he would like to cast Connery in the film if he were interested.

"I don't know who's left [to include in a third film]. Sean Connery would be great to bring back from retirement," West told PA.

"I don't know if he wants to do it, but I'd love to have Sean Connery."

There are 3 definite "no-gos" so far: Ford, Eastwood and Connery.

All-female version of The Expendables on the way
Dredd producer Adi Shankar is funding the project
Aug 20th 2012 By George Wales

It seems that the Expendables phenomenon continues to grow, with the action extravaganza having kick-started Arnie and Sly's flagging careers, set up a potential second sequel, and now apparently having spawned an all-female incarnation.

According to Variety, Dredd producer Adi Shankar is keen to see a troop of female badasses step into the shoes of Dolph, Jet, Stath et al, and is currently in talks with several big-name stars to form an ensemble. Shankar is also thought to be funding the project.

When asked what he thought of the idea, Expendables 2 director Simon West was the first to climb aboard the bandwagon, claiming that Shankar's concept could have legs (no s******ing at the back, please).

"I like the idea of seven or eight women mercenaries," said West. "It would be Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, Milla Jovovich, the list goes on. Helen Mirren, Jamie Lee Curtis would be great."

We're not too sure about Cameron Diaz, but if the others were joined by the likes of Linda Hamilton, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez and Gina Carano, we could see a potential market for this. Provided of course that Nan Yu is allowed nowhere near it. She really is terrible…

The only Bond actors who could work in this are George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton

Anybody mention Walken yet? That's our villian! With "Face/Off" Nic Cage as his assistant :woot:

If you saw Face/Off, then you'd want Nic Cage and John Travolta

Make it happen Expendables 3!

Clint can be the badass old general of Stallone and Arnie.

Ford should have a badass role too, oh and a fedora, i'm sure if they got him he'd have an ideal role making fanboys happy.

Neeson / Cage need to be both villains both against the Expendables and each other.

Seagal, no clue but they'd implement him somehow, but I find him to be a necessity to this series. Should be apart of Trench's team.

Chan could be Yin Yang's brother or something, either way hes definitely one of the main guys I want in the 3rd the most. Should be apart of Trench's team.

Brosnan can be a retired spy brought out of retirement helping the Expendables.

Banderas and Trejo should be a team of sorts pre running into the Expendables. Or you know could be apart of Trench's team.

Just fanboy wishing.

Obviously Ford, Eastwood, Connery, should the appear at all it would be in a cameo roll, ala Chuck Norris, and not a main character. The core team has been established, with Stallone, Statham, Lundgren, Couture, Crews, and hopefully they bring Li back as I really missed him in this.

I think it would be great too if they could get Chris Hemsworth, playing Billy's older brother out for revenge or something like that.

On his approach to casting, Stallone explained that he was looking particularly for actors who had not experienced recent significant success in film, saying: "I like using people that had a moment and then maybe have fallen on some hard times and give them another shot. So we’re always looking for actors like Michael Biehn and Michael Paré. I like those kinds of guys. Someone did it for me and I like to see if I can do it for them.

Haha, that would be great. I don't mind if they thrown in one or two new actors while still bringing back the older ones.

I mean how could Billy's brother be out for revenge when they got rid of all the guys who killed Billy?

As fans suggest Jackie Chan, and the actor himself want to have a role, expect him to actually BE in Expendables 3.
But will he bring a lightness to his character, or will he go serious? I've seen some scenes from an asian action flic where he was quite straight-faced.

What if the next film in the franchise will have more comedy?
Then I think Bruce Campbell should join and play some bad-ass guy who delievers plenty of one-liners.
Burt Reynolds can work as well, and bring some funny elements too.
And HEY, I just got to think of Terence Hill who's done a LOT of slap stick action and acrobatic fist fights just for the sake of fun. And he always takes advantage of the surroundings when he fights.

Indeed and it HAS to be crazy Nic Cage and not "Hollywood serious." I want Drive Angry Nic Cage as the villian.

No Castor Troy Nic Cage ?

That too....also Terence McDonagh Nic Cage. Now THAT is hard to top.

Cage also needs to have the most ridiculous haircut ever as well......:woot:

If anyone has been down on his lucky lately it's Hogan... I'm actually suprised he hasn't made a cameo based off the fact he worked with Sly in Rocky 3 and Sly gave Hogan's WWE HOF induction speech.
