I think you guys might have been jinxing things with this thread. EX-2 appears to be trailing the original expendables debut by a decent margin that with its bigger budget doesn't spell great things.

Either way i'm checking it out later tonight.

My reaction to Nic Cage and everyone else still remains the same...

I doubt they can get Clint Eastwood, though. Clint directs all of his movies himself nowadays and he already did his old-guy-team-up movie with Space Cowboys, which he also directed himself. And like Arnold's "I'll be back" line in Expendables 2, they would want Clint to say his famous "Do you feel lucky, punk" and "Make my day" lines again, Clint tries to not continue to repeat himself, which is why he hasn't done another Dirty Harry movie since 1988 and he hasn't done another western since Unforgiven in 1992.

Personally, the only other 80s action hero I'd like to see in E3 is Russell. If he joins the cast he should wear an eye patch!!! I could do without the others. I wouldn't mind SLJ though. He makes almost every movie he's in better.

And I know folks don't want to see women, but seriously....what about Linda Hamilton and/or Sigourney Weaver?

But i'm hoping Cage, Eastwood, Ford, Chan have something to do with this next one lets raise the stakes it'll be hard to top Ex2.

Nick Nolte has never really been a big/major action star compared to all the other guys in the Expendables movies. Nolte's specialty has mostly been in comedy movies with a little bit of action & dramas/thrillers.

Would love to see Sam Elliott added to the team & possibly Gary Busey.

I wouldn't mind seeing Travolta too. He's an awesome villain.

They tried to get Cage and Travolta for E2. As well as Christopher Lambert and , as said above, Antonio Banderas.

I want all of them, with Travolta and Cage as the villains, and Snipes when he gets out of prison. That'd rock.
